What strikes me is how humble Beterbiev is ... when he says I need to do more hard training. I'm not a good boxer yet. Even after 300 amateur fights and having a perfect undefeated pro record with all knockouts, he still feels he needs more work. With that kind of mindset, you'll always keep improving. .Compare that mindset with the mindset of many other boxers who talk way too much and think they're great when they're not even that good and full of flaws. Bivol has the same humble mindset as Beterviev. That's what makes this fight amazing

Berterbiev has a unique move he uses to close distance on an opponent. He takes a couple of short, fast, shuffling steps towards them, while throwing a looping right hand at the same time. It's similar to the technique known as "shifting" but not quite the same, because the right hand is thrown from neither a southpaw nor orthodox stance. He throws it while crossing his feet to move forward. I call it unique because I've never seen anybody but Beterbiev do that consistently and deliberately.
Bivol is a master of range and distance control. It's going to be fascinating to see if Betrbiev tries that move on him, and how Bivol reacts to it if he does.Slowhand

Still going back and forth on who wins. Although Bivol is a better 'boxer' in that he jabs and moves and piles up rounds without taking punishment, Beterbiev will have seen many of those guys as an amateur. He's got experience seeing what works and doesn't work against that style. Whereas Bivol won't have had as much to directly prepare him for what Beterbiev brings. Even though he faced hard punching pressure boxers as an amateur, it's not the same as dealing with them for 12 rounds. Bivol might win but will have to dig deeper than ever before.CPNUTKnockoutFreshMart

Cant ask for a better clash of styles, I think Bivol will prove his win against the ginger was no coincidence.Boricua181 likes this.

Problem with Biev, his small touches hurt guys. Bivol cannot engage, he will get stopped. This could turn out to be a stinker. That is Bivol's one shot. And good chance Biev wins that type of fight.
To those saying Bivol may stop Biev. Jesus. Biev ate Yearde, C Smith and J Smith punches like they were love taps and proceeded to obliterate each of them. All hard hard punchers.
Bivol isn't a big puncher and was seen as a soft target by most before he beat "the great hype" Canelo.
Be prepared to be shocked when Biev crumples Bivol.Last edited by Theshotyoudontsee; 09-11-2024, 10:56 AM.CPNUTKnockoutFreshMart

Beterbiev has had a few injuries since then, and is older on top of that. Bivol will stick, and move on Beterbiev all night long getting caught a few times himself.
It's nothing that Bivol's sturdy chin wont be able to handle, and when he sticks Beterbiev it's going to be stiff hard shots, followed by accurate overhand rights.
Beterbiev has been dropped before, and suffered some nasty cuts in his career, Bivol is just the fighter to slice, and dice him for the win.A.B Counterhooks likes this.

The referee better not get in the way at the wrong time, because he might get dropped!CPNUTKnockoutFreshMart likes this.
