Love hearing an experienced boxer say theirs room for improvement. That said, if his knees hold up. His boxing skills are under rated.
A healthy Beterbiev will cut off the ring beautifully and land devastating punches.

My only concern is that Biev is not 100% injury free + getting old. Someone once said that Biev is used to the Russian boxing school way of fighting which Bivol do and he has seen it multiple times especially in the amateurs.

I believe there’s some truth to that. It is probably harder trying to prepare for a Beterbiev way of fighting.

So if he’s fit and has not aged overnight as we’ve seen other boxers do, I believe in his style vs bivols style

I love both of these guys and enjoy watching them fight for different reasons. I guess most people think that Beterbiev will crush Bivol, like he has crushed everyone else. I really don't know which way this fight goes - I can see both outcomes - Bivol by UD or Beterbiev by KO. I know that Beterbiev can be outboxed as we have seen Usyk do it to him in the amateurs. The real question is "can Bivol do it for 12 rounds"?

Gvozdyk almost did it, can Bivol do a little bit better and avoid being hurt? I believe it is possible. Gvozdyk was loading too much on his punches because he KOed Superman so he though he could do it to Beterbiev too. At one point in the fight, I actually though Gvozdyk was succeeding, but then Beterbiev found his second wind and went on the attack again. Because Gvozdyk was loading up, it made him more vulnerable to being countered and hurt. Ultimately Beterbiev had a better chin and managed to hurt Gvodzyk. They also had a history when Gvozdyk was young (and Beterbiev annihilated him) so I think he got emotional wanting revenge.

I do not believe Bivol will make the same mistake and get emotional like Gvozdyk trying to KO Arthur. I think he will stay disciplined for 12 rounds and execute a perfect game plan. Of course, Beterbiev has a perfect equalizer - which is what makes this fight so exciting and unpredictable. I am sure, at the end of the night, most of us will all say - of course, this outcome was obvious, how come we did not see it before the fight?

Interesting points. I am not sure how much being out boxed in the amateurs will translate to anything at this stage in his career, but point taken.
I think what you are saying about Bivol Needing to be perfect for 12 rounds is an astute observation and we very commonly see that in boxing. I CANT WAIT!!!

How confident is each man? It is a unification fight for all the pretty things, but neither side pushed for a rematch clause. When was the last time any of us saw that? There are rematch clauses over #1 contender positions these days. These men both believe they will win, and both their camps believe it as well.

I still have Beterbiev, but what a fight.

Yeah I feel he's never really had a genuine enough reason to show us his full boxing ability purely because of the dynamite in his fists and we might just get to see it this time round when he nullifies Bivol's defense

you can see he's pretty well schooled he has good feet he can control distance really well etc but because of his style with it being so destructive people don't always see the good fundamentals hes using to break people down. It was like golovkin who himself could box very well had great balance and could control range aswell

Yes, casual fans consider him to be a slugger only but I'm confident Bivol's team are fully cognizant of Beterbiev's excellent boxing skills.
