  • Comments Thread For: Artur Beterbiev: 'I need to do more training on my skills as a boxer'

Artur Beterbiev kept things predictably simple when he was asked to describe Dmitry Bivol in three words. "He's a boxer. A good boxer. And he's my challenge," the WBC,WBO and IBF light heavyweight champion told Queensberry.

Good to hear someone his age speaking like that. He will need head movement against Bivol that’s for sure and it is mandatory that he both works the body and cuts off the ring

Yes, train hard. Lose to bivol, but lose to bivo l in a close fight, don't get outclassed

Beterbiev has underated skills in the boxing department. His jab is key in setting up his power punches. Imo he needs to work on his defense because he gets tagged. So far the power has seen him through 20 wins without a loss. But Bivol is a different story. Forget the Canelo win, he has a good body of work coming into the fight. Both guys have quality wins on their respective record's. Very tough fight to pick a winner. I wouldn't rule out a draw.

beterbiev will beat bivol, bivol is small and bounces around the whole fight, i don't see him evading a fight ending shot from beterbiev. beterbiev will target the body for the first half of fight then make it ugly for the rest and will stop bivol. if bivol wins it will be by a controversial decision

Bivol can outbox Beterbiev as long as he stays off the ropes.

Barring his repaired miniscus causing him movement issues, Biev will stop Bivol. Bivol is Gvozdyk with less power.

Bivol is a good fighter. Canelo is highly overrated though. Biev lands a few, Bivol is done. And if Bivol runs the whole fight, he loses a UD. Biev a far better boxer than people give him credit for.

Its hard to see bivol lasting 12 rounds with Beterbiev, or could he stop Beterbiev?

yeah i kinda had the same view, but Beterbiev could suddenly age overnight, long am career...nearly 40...lots of recent injuries etc

This sport is called boxing for a reason and Bivol is a boxing wizard. I'd not be surprised to see Bivol stopping old Artur.
