Matchroom have lost another purse bid. Surely Boots isn’t going to Germany to rematch Karen.

Sort of backed into a corner now.
There's no immediate title shot available to him at 154.
WBC: Fundora has the belt, Crawford won a final eliminator, and Ortiz has the interim strap
WBA: Crawford has the belt
IBF: Murtazaliev has the belt, Tszyu is fighting him next
WBO: Fundora has the belt, Crawford has the interim belt
Unless the Canelo fight comes through it seems likely that Crawford is fighting Fundora next. If not him then either Ortiz or the Tszyu/Murtazaliev winner.
So if Ennis goes to 154 he's going to end up either fighting more no-hopers or fighting someone tough (Madrimov, Bohachuk, Mendoza, Lubin, Soro, Ramos) without any belt on the line.JakeTheBoxer likes this.

Don't know why he would when it's the belt he pursued when he had a choice between WBO and IBF. It's his home belt taken prematurely from Crawford and given to him free of charge. Why would Ennis not return the favor back by rematching the guy IBF ordered him to fight? Otherwise, he should have chosen the WBO route.

Can't wait to hear all the justifications when he does vacate, like he's not been ducking the smoke the entire time. He just wants to be on the Canelo plan and only wants money fights but no tough fights, but he doesn't want to pay his dues either. I think the guy has the skills, but he sure doesn't seem to want to have to use them. Didn't even open his mouth when he was face to face with Bud, after all the yapping he's done.

More than likely.
No one wants to see that fight and it seems the other champions don’t want to fight Ennis.

Don't care to see the second installment of the Chukhadzhian track meet.
Then again, perhaps it being held in Germany would add some intrigue. Karen hoping to get to the decision and receive beneficial treatment but the judges and Boots realizing he may need a KO to get the win.
All that being said, I anticipate Boots moving to 154. Since there isn't a title shot likely soon, maybe he will fight someone dangerous. More likely it will be an underwhelming matchup.
