              an inconvient fact... Benavidez did not exercise his mandatory fight with Saul. The WBC gave him a choice, fight Alvarez or fight the winner of Bivol vs Beterbiev. Benavidez twice asked for an extension to decide between the 2 choices. Ultimately he passed on fighting Canelo and became the Bivol v Beterbiev mandatory instead.
