It’s clear that neither Crawford nor Canelo truly have much use for titles at this point especially if they fight each other….which I don’t want to see I might add. But reality is reality…

I predict a low buyout for this Canelo fight. Unless fans are Idoiots and buy this fight vs a nobody.

Canelo next fight is Mbilli at the trend he is going.

And Berlanga barely gets mentioned: "Alvarez fights Edgar Berlanga on September 14." Even the article writer doesn't GAF about that fight.

I think Canelo might take the Crawford fight for the money and then one more “legacy “ fight . It’ll be Benavidez or more likely the winner of Beterbiev-Bivol . Canelo is aware of the criticism and I think he’ll take one more home run swing. And my thinking is if the GOAT can have a Wepner,a Dunn,an Evangelista then Canelo can have a Berlanga .

There are some variables in that comparison sir…heavyweight, one title, champions fight contenders in those days, champs lost titles and fight their way back, Ali never refused to fight the likes of Foreman, Frazier, Holmes, Norton, Liston, Shavers, Bonavena, Quarry, Ellis, Folley, etc etc

There's no way in hell he risks ending his career fighting either Bivol or Beterbiev. He obviously doesn't give a **** about the criticism.

I say it depends how Canelo vs Berlanga does. If it flops he will have to fight a named fighter to continue to get huge purses. Charlo and then Berlanga does not move the needle unless there is a showdown looming down the road. Hey, GGG says he is not retired yet so he might get a 4th shot.

Also there are some fringe mandos that are due so who knows what he will do.

Of course it’s not a one to one comparison but my point is the same. The Greatest took some easy touches. As did Joe Louis,Bum of the Month club anyone ? And didn’t the original Sugar Ray avoid Charley Burley like the plague ? And is their legacy secure ?
