Lara should absolutely b on this list. Robbed by Williams & Canelo, also fought Hurd & castano in close fights that could've easily went his way if he was that a-side.

'I would say Rosado had a very lucky career. Ever since the GGG fight Rosado went 5-12-1 with 1 NC, 10 of those fights being for a belt of some kind. That is a terrible record any way you slice it and some fighters have been shelved for fewer losses, but Rosado always got air time. Add on top of that his bit part in the Apollo movie, Gabe may not have won a full belt but he arguably has had a good career.'

Rosado was fully f""""ed over by Gilberto Ramirez. A full training camp, which musta cost many thousands, then fat boy admits he couldn't even get close to weight. Rosado shoulda sued the MoFo for every cent he got. F"""" him.

I thought Rossdo beat Danny Jacob’s??

my favorite on this list is Pirog. Beautiful style and no doubt would’ve made some noise

. If Lara was slightly more exciting and/or not Cuban he would have way more accolades.

I notice several of these had the misfortune of a career overlapping GGG's.

More testimony that being a B side does you zero favors. Herrera vs D.Garcia - one of the worst robberies. One thing that aspiring fighters at contender level without much personality should do is hire a PR consultant. Ennis could use one badly. Go get him in an interview with Joe Rogan, better still, go hit pads with Rogan - something like that - get involved with Philly sports teams. See how Bud has Eminem involved - every little bit helps.

Oh, and being eastern european is another negative as far as getting a fair shake of the dice.

Being the B-side and eastern european - you better be a stupendous KO artist or you're getting screwed somewhere down the line - and even then you can fall short > 1st exhibit GGG-Canelo 1

Great article. I probably would have thrown Andy Lee on the list as well. Some.thoughts on this list:

Korobov really was snake bitten. I was at the Aleem fight and he beat him in that one. He was beating Andy Lee when Lee launched a massive bomb out of nowhere. Before the injury he looked brilliant against Eubank. Judges and injuries crushed his career.

Jack was a heck of a fighter. I feel like the early KO loss to Edwards humbled him a bit. He's also known for doing alot of charity work (probably one of the reasons he is inactive).

Herrera was a brilliant boxer with no pop. He beat Danny Garcia but the judges weren't going to give him the deserved result. I think that one was in Puerto Rico.

Going back to Andy Lee, he could box brilliantly and he could crack hard but you never knew if his chin was going to hold up. It was always a hire-wire act with his fights: Chavez Jr, Quillin, Saunders, etc.

I would also add Shawn Porter. He came up short in all the big fights.
