Haney isn’t delusional sir. He doesn’t drink, smoke, have mental breakdowns or do drugs as most of his peers and contemporaries do in the sport of boxing.
Delusion in thinking they were the next Mayweather and calling themselves the best in the world. They re making it seem they were the best thing since bread and butter. The guy was weight bully in the lower division. He doesn't have power or a chin. He like to fight a distance and hug his opponents once they get close enough.
Haney versus Teo is good! Two large 140 pounders who both better make plans for developing into larger frames... Both very talented and very beatable. Lets see if Ryan ruined the kid, or not.
I like that fight. Teo did look really small against Taylor who has the frame of a true WW / small SMW.
I'm also wondering how Haney comes back. They really should throw him in there with a light puncher coming back but if Turki is funding, I doubt he gets convinced to let Haney go the tune up route.
A fight with Sandor Martin would be good. Martin won't outbox Haney and if hes able to drop or hurt Haney, that'll answer our question.
Do people really want to see Haney back? Why?
His style is boring. No power. He always had a glass jaw.
He is trying to be hard and gangsta, but he's just not it...

He is still undefeated isn’t he? You can’t hold his last performance against him because his opponent knowingly and willfully cheated with no intentions of making weight
While being hopped up on banned substances, dope and PEDS at the same time. Just in order to gain an unfair competitive advantage over him.
Thank God he popped dirty. Because they were just about to let him walk and get away with it until his test results had been leaked over social media.
At least Haney was cutting body water which is completely legal and within the rules. While Garcia was cutting body fat while using a SARM.
An illegal and banned anabolic steroid derivative in order to cut body fat while building and maintaining muscle mass at the same time.
Maybe from an analytical standpoint, we may be able to see whether the anabolic SARM Ryan took gave him a definite advantage over Devin, vs a rematch on a level playing field. But from a common-sense standpoint, we can assume that Ryan didn't risk stifling his career by taking a banned PED that has little to no effect. That would make him an even bigger idiot than he already is.
I do not think even Ryan could tell us exactly how much anything he took helped. I mean we know it gave him an advantage, we just do not know the exact extent of the advantage. Also, Ryan's mental state is such... I do not know what one can trust about his judgement.

I am Ok not watching Devin Haney again. Wouldn't loose any sleep over it.Hhe has made good money on the back of fighting popular fighters. It was obviously a shock to him to see the low bid for a proposed Sandor Martin fight and also the fact that Fast Eddie did a no bid. Kind of a rude awakening about your own value. He says he is ready to come back but we will see. I guess Turki likes him so he will get some more fights, but he needs to find a popular opponent otherwise his purse demands will not be met. Either way, he will not be missed.

I am thinking Teo is smaller than I think lol.
If you listen to so called boxing fans...Haney is really two fighters, a Doppelganger of a sort lol, he either is: A deluded, possibly destroyed, Victim of a Greek tragedy... A man who used weight gain tactics to distort his abilities and alas, does not have the faculties to fight in his proper division... bereft of a chin and any power to speak of. An accident waiting to happen, an instant highlight reel fodder victim for the next guy who catches him proper.
Or, he is a talented, undefeated fighter, a fighter with a great jab, determination, the ability to move well, who was only beaten because of a drug cheat.
To me? the truth lays between the two extremes. But I do think he is vulnerable right now. Potentially a boxer could outbox him if he cannot get the respect with his jab...and a puncher like Teo could catch him like Ryan. Haney's problem is that he used weight gain to the extent that it habitually gave him an advantage he will not have when he has to move up. He could wind up like Broner, who lost his punch when he went up and fought bigger and better guys.
