Haney versus Teo is good! Two large 140 pounders who both better make plans for developing into larger frames... Both very talented and very beatable. Lets see if Ryan ruined the kid, or not.

Fat boy looks like a junk food junky. Not sure he’ll be ready to fight a REAL fighter for 18 months.

Haney, Ryan and all the fighters we see, generally do what they can to get an edge. Haney rehydrates to very large size... This is not kosher... Yes Ryan cheated and got caught but this is all over the sport and Haney is no angel either. I agree we can never know how much enhancements helped Ryan in this fight. I also think if we reason it out, Haney had some faults that contributed to him getting caught by Ryan, consistently.

People tend to go off the reservation on the issue of Ryan's cheating: They either minimize, or exxagerate the effects to the point of hyperbole. If we cut the difference and look at the middle? Yes Ryan had some help, and Haney was susceptable to Ryan's power... We can never know how much either set of facts held sway, only that they both exist as truths.

Jab, Jab, move around. Opponents gets near, hug him to death. Wait for the ref to break up the clinch. Rinse and repeat and call yourself the best.

Take Victor's Conte SNAC to lose a bunch of weight and face smaller guys.

It shouldn't be too hard for Haney to come back. He's young, and he knows Garcia well from their 6 fights in the amateurs. He knows Garcia doesn't normally punch as hard as he did in their pro fight and has reaffirmation through Ryan's failed drug test. As long as he didn't suffer significant physical damage, he should be able to overcome any psychological damage from the sheer knowledge that Garcia is a drug cheat.

Barring a sudden change in Ryan's style, I would say that Devin was probably knowledgeable of what Garcia could do and he was confident that he could take his shots. They did after all, fight six times as amateurs. Given that and what I have seen first-hand about the effects of anabolic steroids on physical strength, I would say that Garcia absolutely had a marked advantage in sheer power. I've seen ordinary men become super strong fast off that stuff. It's astounding.

Meh. It's fine without you, champ. Go enjoy your money.

Haney has a strong case of KHANitis. Week chin and over evaluating his own relevancy and importance.
