People are on him but they should think it through. What is it worth having money to spare if you drool into a bucket, cannot remember your wife's name, or anything much else? **** Gregory said it better: "Steve Job's died young at 55 with liver cancer. He had millions of dollars in his checking account... his dam checking account! I got a cousin in Mississippi who drinks cheap wine everyday, is 99 years old, does not have a dime!"

Bottom line? If Canelo's fans cannot see Nelo's perspective, are they really fans?

Edit: M you said "this version of Canelo" and that is what I am responding to, not a prime Nelo whoi would obviously think different about this fight.

          I totally agree
And honestly speaking , I don’t need to see the beating when I already know the outcome

3 or 5 yrs ago, the pick would be Canelo easy.

            Now, the pick is Benavitez.

Canelo struggles with active guys. And Canelo can’t overpower those closer to his size.

Canelo doesn’t have that killer instinct anymore. Take John Ryder for example. He had him really hurt bad and he couldn’t get the job done. And he was trying hard you could sense the frustration in the bout. Granted John Ryder is tough as nails, but I think Canelo’s power gets overrated by a lot of people.

Canelo has legit power, but all his greatest KOs came against either chinny, or undersized opponents.

            I don’t think he’d really hurt Benavitez.

And it looks like Canelo kinda boxes in spurts these days. He needs to rely heavily on his skills.

I think Canelo would need to dig down deep against Benavitez. Canelo still has a great chance to win especially on the cards. Canelo’s a smart and crafty veteran. He has excellent punch selection and instincts.

He knows how to steal rounds and look good for the judges. That’s part of the reason why it always seems like he gets the benefit of the doubt in close rounds.

If Canelo comes out in TOP FORM, I think he will win and would probably be one of the best wins of his career if he does win and it would solidify him as an ATG.

But if he loses against Benavitez, or doesn’t box him, it’s a huge miss on his record.

Feel like people think only a pure boxer can beat Canelo, despite that offensive minded fighters like GGG and Jacobs were pretty successful in outworking Canelo who even in his prime, often got tired until he decided to go on the defensive and catch a second wind in the later rounds. After his prime, 40 year old GGG, Ryder and Munguia performed pretty well against him.

With the right physical attributes and well rounded skills, Canelo can get outworked. I think Benavidez has those qualities.
