I couldn't care about Canelo less. But it is what it is. In pro boxing, guys usually take hard fights only when they have to. Otherwise they all prefer taking easy fights for a good money.

Bottom line is everyone in this sport, promoters, trainers, commentators, fans need to discourage this waiting game.
