Benavidez has nobody to blame but himself

He had WBC belt at 168 twice, he lost it twice outside of the ring, because he was ****** and unprofessional.

When Canelo entered 168, he wanted all the belts he fought every guy that had any belt at 168. He would have fought Benavidez if he had had the belt.

Now it is too late. After Bivol fight Canelo plays is safe. His biggest challenges would be Bivol at 168 or 175, Beterbiev at 175 or Benavidez at 168, but he won`t take any of these fights and he doesn`t have to.

Why is everyone talking about this guy Benny Videz as if he's the best thing since sliced bread?

        But it does.

In every sport there are examples of guys who miss their windows or throw away opportunities. David took his opportunity for granted and is now paying the price, so to speak.

        He blew it.

yeah that makes perfect sense alrite, so berlanga is more 'deserving' of a canelo fight because he didnt 'throw away his opportunity'

u have to hand it to benny, he has destroyed canelo fans single handily

benny has been waiting patiently for years for the canelo fight, he did everything right & its the fight to make now anyone can see that

He did **** things up but there's still no guarantee Canelo would've fought him.

BS, he did not want to unify. The first thing he said was "I won't fight no mexicans ". Please change the tune.

Canelo didn't want to become undisputed at 168 lbs until after Benavidez was stripped. We'll never know if Canelo would have pursued undisputed if Benavidez had been the champion because he had never been keen on fighting Benavidez.

What we do know is that Benavidez should be Canelo's mandatory, but he was cheated out of his title shot due to gross politics on behalf of both the WBC and Canelo.
