Chisora is a throwback, he fought anyone and everyone, ducked nobody and gave us exciting moments all throughout. Those fans that love the sport like I do rewarded his honest efforts with our support. Win, lose or draw.

Those that support fighters like Chisora are a much better lot than those that only support whoever's the current champion (usually blindly) and who jettison their support as soon as that fighter loses.
To each its own, but are you honestly entertained by his personality?

He seems like he has learning difficulties and can barely put a sentence together and does nothing but talk sheer nonsense and lose to everyone decent he fights.

Always thought he was a muppet yeah but didn’t mind him as much until he constantly just kept getting big fights for no reason and getting battered in most of them.

I definitely understand not liking his personality and his antics. He's gotten away with a lot of bad behavior, but I respect him for leaving it in the ring. I can't blame him for continuing to accept big fights when they're presented to him. I'd prefer to blame the likes of Fury for cherry-picking him.

I respect all fighters at the base of it.

And I don’t blame him for fighting.

I just can’t understand how anyone would be a fan of him but different strokes for different folks I guess.

Joyce is the favourite but I am curious to see if Zhang ended Joyce’s punch resistance much like Helenius did to Kownacki. Chisora in 6…

Would someone just give Dereck Chisora a paycheck so he could retire for good please? It's because he has taken too many ass whoopings in the ring over the course of his career.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that. He is a crowd pleasing fighter who leaves it all in the ring. However, my only problem is that he has taken too many ass whoopings over the course of his career and it's time for him to finally hang up the gloves for good now.

Fair play, I always respect your takes even if I don't agree with them. We all have our preferences and sometimes we like one fighter and not another even if they have similar traits. It's funny how that happens.

I have to be honest, I have always been entertained by Chisora's personality and I usually don't like boorish behavior....I think he played the heel better than others and I always felt he gave an honest effort.

Del Boy may not have won a title but he's fought everyone. He gave tough fights to Usyk, Kebayel, Whyte, Parker and others. He has wins over Szpilka, Takam, Pulev and Price and should probably have a few more (Helenius and Whye).

Some choose to fight even if they risk loss. Not everyone has the luxury to fight the Berlangas of the division.
