This could be an entertaining beatdown because Ornelas is aggressive enough to make it that way. This is just a tune up B-hop is supposed to win and get some rounds in so I give him a pass. Also consider his age and how long he has been inactive. It is nothing short of incredible that he is fighting at this age still on a world class level. I may go to this fight since its so close and watch maybe one of the last times B-hop ever fights.

I don't know if a win over Dawson would shut the critics up. But it would make me think that he is going for the glory and not just the money. And you know I am a Hopkins fan by the way.
Coming up in weight or not all 4 were considered elite fighters...Bernard destroyed Tarver and Pavlik and made Winky and Joe look bad...

And Pavlik had fought at 165 before and said the weight didn't affect him...

That's why I said overblown to a certain extent, but they still probably put themselves at a disadvantage moving up in weight when you refer to Joe, Winky, and Pavlik. I'm saying that Hopkins was more accustomed to the weight than those guys were.

I don't like the concept of taking a tune-up fight at age 44 in a stacked division in preparation for an opponent that should be easy.

Mr. Hopkins is now a buisiness man in association with Mr. DeLaHoya, and his brains are not scrambled. We know who's going to win this fight, we just don't know how. Mr. Hopkins is in the twilight of his boxing career and the dawn of his promotional career. Lots of luck Mr. Hopkins and Mr. Ornelas [maybe in your next fight].
