Would he even take small guys like Pitbull or Valenzuela? Judging that he skipped even a guy like Sandor Martin, I think he's done. I don't think he would even take stay-busy fights like Commey, Nakatani, Jamaine, Campa, the way Teo and Loma willingly accepted such fights. There's also Catterall and Jose Ramirez or Taylor. Which fight could he guarantee a sure win amongst these number of choices?

I can possibly see him fighting the winner of Prograis/Catterall. A rematch with Prograis may have some interest if Prograis can beat Catterall impressively. He might fight Cruz, he would certainly have a distinct size advantage. though he'd have to play matador all night trying to avoid him and tie him up. Another snoozer. It's either that or wait a year for a rematch with Ryan which will likely be a catchweight with endless demands to give him an advantage. Otherwise I won't be surprised if he fights a Youtuber or MMA guy. Maybe he can get a PPV with Claressa Shields, LOL.

With all due respect, every commentator ignored the elephant in the room, Devin Haney isn't making 140 for much longer. The days of being the biggest guy in the ring are over and at 147 Devin doesn't have enough power to keep anyone off him.

I hate to say it but just like Teofimo and Ryan Garcia, Devin Haney may have looked tremendous fighting in the very smallest weight-class he could shrink down to but at 147 they all look average.

I don't think 147 is going to be a good division for him. Could rematch Loma if they can't make a deal with Tank maybe, outside of that I don't know where he goes next. Weird situation for his career right now.

I don't think he's serious about rematching Garcia. It's just a conversation piece interviewers keep asking him. Of course, he would say things they want to hear. Besides, fight would have to take place at 147 to clear up weight issues, not to mention all sorts of others related to peds, bans, etc. He knew fight would have the same outcome. I think he would go to Australia for the fight with Paro, who's got similar build like Prograis. He trusts, listens to, Hearn and comfortable with the financial package he provides him.

You realize that Haney Sr won't even say Boots name, Devin makes believe he doesn't know who Boots is. The fight wouldn't be competitive and that's not my opinion it's just the way it is.

Agreed. I do not even see this as a competitive fight. Boots will walk right through Haney and punish him. His old man will throw in the towel by round eight!

Yeah I would be in shock if Haney could do anything to keep Boots off of him... Ryan had a left hook... Boots can destroy with either hand, inside and out and despite being careless, will not mind taking one to flatline his opponent.

We "technically" and I use the word most generously... do not know who wins but you would be hard pressed to find anyone who knows these two fighters thinking this is manageable for Haney. Haney SHOULD make mum! because if Boots ever was enticed into that fight it might really make the Ryan fight look like a picnic.

I agree... Where does he go? I do not think he wants that smoke from Ryan, He could easily lose to Loma, he is too hittable for Tank... He does not have a division. Very talented fighter who just needs more power to go up. reminds me of Broner's situation.

PEDs make you stronger and faster, so the fact he dropped his isn’t relevant because we don’t know if he even lands those punches without PEDs, let alone with that kind of ferocity.
