He'd probably insist on a catchweight to bring them down a couple of pounds. I don't see him taking any real risks going forward. After the ass whooping by Ryan who is a marginal fighter, he's going to regroup and look for cherry picks from here on out.
What would be the picture of cherrypick fights looks like for him?

I don’t think many of you quite understand what PEDs do and why they are banned.

You cant say “PEDs or not” because all we know is what happened when Garcia fought him whilst on PEDs. We have no idea about the “or not”
My issue, not speaking for anyone else, is that Haney was getting dropped because he was dropping the right hand and letting Garcia hit him. He wasn't being defensively responsible either. I believe I've read your discussions about the effect of Ostarine before, and while they might help Ryan be stronger, and maybe a touch faster, it doesn't make his arms longer. The windows he had to make the shots were wide open, and didn't look anything that would be affected by Garcia being a stronger or faster because it was poor defense with Haney, and he was getting timed.

The next issue is that everyone in the boxing world knows that Garcia's left hook is his weapon. Not even of choice. It's his only one. He's never scored so much as a knockdown with anything else. But Haney was still getting caught. And when he was getting caught, he and his dad didn't make ANY adjustments. They just kept taking it in the kisser over and over.

Finally, Ryan was the first opponent Haney had, I believe in his entire career, that he didn't outweigh. Haney was 165 v Prograis on the night. Garcia was 160 v Duarte in the night. Reports indicate they were similar sizes for the fight. He rehydrates 25 lbs to fight smaller guys. When he moves up to 147, he's not going to be the bigger guy anymore, and this kind of thing will keep happening, because he's been relying on being a size and weight bully his whole career.

If he had been caught by a lucky punch and it was way stronger than expected, I'd be much more sympathetic. But for many of us, it looks like he was caught out by technical and preparation flaws, and particularly the inability of him and his corner to make the necessary adjustments says he's been exposed. That's why he's sitting out until Ryan's suspension is up. He didn't even want to defend vs Sandor Martin. He looks like he wants one more big Ryan Garcia payday, and then he's retiring for good, unless he actually makes it look easy. And it was especially bad because his dad was going in with that "is he dies, he dies" crap.

Come back comfortably at 147 with very careful match making moving forward. Pick up one of those baby belts along the way. Try to stay humble and keep pops in check.

I'd say trying to drag up smaller fighters or drain down the bigger ones. Use the PR team to build up marginal fighters to make them seem more competitive than they really are, the way Tank does. I can see them trying to hype Puello.

Did Devin’s purse ever get straightened out? He didn’t get paid correctly. Ryan stiffed him too for missing weight. This ain’t right!

Would he even take small guys like Pitbull or Valenzuela? Judging that he skipped even a guy like Sandor Martin, I think he's done. I don't think he would even take stay-busy fights like Commey, Nakatani, Jamaine, Campa, the way Teo and Loma willingly accepted such fights. There's also Catterall and Jose Ramirez or Taylor. Which fight could he guarantee a sure win amongst these number of choices?

PEDs make you stronger and faster, so the fact he dropped his isn’t relevant because we don’t know if he even lands those punches without PEDs, let alone with that kind of ferocity.

Boots walks through Haney and destroys him! Mid to late round knockout!

Boots has defensive lapses... Does not fight enough... But is a stone cold killer in the ring. he can take an opponent out faster than someone can put cheez whiz on an authentic Philly cheese steak. Haney is a survivor, a safety first technician, who would be smaller than Boots, lacks hitting power, and fights to survive at times... I don't see it. Edit: then again who am I?"
Agreed. I do not even see this as a competitive fight. Boots will walk right through Haney and punish him. His old man will throw in the towel by round eight!
