  • It's funny, everyone seems to forget that Canelo planned to move up and fight Usyk after Bivol.

Does anyone here think that Benavidez is better than Usyk?

    Exactly.

Now all of you can STFU

Yeah because it's smart to think someone who has been boxing consistently at that level for 20+ years, should be peaking at 35 years old.

Can't figure out if you're trolling or not... If Canelo was serious about that fight he would've no doubt chit-housed his way around the negotiating table expecting Usyk to fight at a 201lbs catchweight in the same way he expected 40 year Badou Jack to fight at a 180lbs catchweight for the wbc cruiserweight title.

In any case, it doesn't matter whether we think Benavidez is better than Usyk, it matters what CANELO thinks. Benavidez is a fighter that presents Canelo with one or multiple reasons not to take the fight. If I was to take an educated guess I'd say its his relentlessness, combination punching, size, body attack, chin and power. It would be like fighting the rematch against GGG at 168 except against someone less methodical who would be raining shots down. Canelo would be absorbing a lot of punishment in that fight.

Lol I keep reading this bs that golovkin was 'out his prime' but when you look at his resume you wont see any elite level win during his supposed prime years ,folks easily tend to forget he was still undefeated once he got in the ring with Canelo.

Also its astonishing the amount of haters(usual suspects) rushing to any canelo related article no matter how irrelevant the article might be lol, those are the same one calling themselves 'real boxing fans' ,but you hardly see them talk actual boxing unless its another canelo related article lol( yes, you know who you're) but hey, when you're are on top you ALWAYS gonna get the
heat no matter what. Thats understandable to certain degree.

Furthermore, folks also forgetting the very root of the problem and thats the fact Benavidez got stripped not only once...but twice, we could've easily got Benny-Canelo fight long time ago if it wasnt for this particular fact, Benavidez has only himself to blame for not being able to keep his belts like a true champion would. Now his ass gotta wait.

his megalomania drove him to think he could possibly compete with usyk but now that bivol schooled him, hes just a normal dude who doesnt think he can even beat benavidez. how is that not ducking though? doesnt that prove hes ducking? he thought he could compete with usyk, thought he could compete with bivol, found out he couldnt, now hes fighting easy opponents. what am i missing?

              • wait why is canelo trying to fight eubank jr? i didnt even realize this was a real thing. i thought this was bradley going off the rails. this guy canelo has no dignity left. none. eubank jr isnt even a super middleweight lol. why does he keep fighting tiny guys moving up? he has zero confidence and yet some people keep lying to themselves "hes not ducking benavidez" what? hes just trying to artificially extend his career with easy fights. its clear as day

                    • I’m afraid to say it but Bradley is right. Canelo couldn’t give a good damn about us boxing fans by not giving us the one fight that every boxing fan wants to see.
