I am not surprised that Arum is saying this. He wants to milk Pacquaio for a lot more money before he sacrifices him to Mayweather. Pac has his pride and won't settle for anything less than 60 percent of the purse, so I assume Pac will be happy making $3 to $4 million in his next fight against Marquez or Timothy Bradley instead of the $20 million he could have made against Mayweather.

By the way, I have said it before and will say it again: if anyone believes anything that comes out of Bob Arum's mouth, I have a bridge I would like to sell you.

Mayweather Should Get The Lion's Share

Considering the PPV numbers for Mayweather vs Marquez Floyd should get the lion's share. And as far as I'm concerned this whole issue of "the purse" is nothing more than a built in excuse for Arum. Arum's worst fears would be confirmed. His former "cash cow" out classing his current "cash cow"! After Arum saw the results of Mayweather vs Marquez, he wanted no parts of this proposed match up!

If your argument was correct, Pacquaio would have done significantly better in his PPV fights against De La Hoya and Hatton than Mayweather because "far more fight fans would be interested in seeing MannyP. rather than Mayweather." Also if your argument is correct, Pac/Cotto should sell significantly more than Mayweather/Marquez. My guess is Pac/Cotto won't do more than 500,000.

The facts speak for themselves, Mayweather's last three PPV (Marquez, Hatton and De La Hoya) have sold 4.75 million. Pac's (Hatton, De La Hoya and David Diaz) have sold $2.1 million. Even if you took out the Diaz fight and counted the Cotto fight, Pac/Cotto would have to sell 2.75 million for Pac to equal Mayweather in PPV sales.

here's what i see from arum---just like he did with cotto back at 140---he don't want to put manny in the ring with floyd because floyd is going to ruin his run---that's it---so all this higher split bull**** means jack ****---arum knows that floyd will beat pac---just like he knows he would beat cotto---arum don't want to give floyd more money and more glory for beating his fighters because he knows like i know---floyd would beat both of those guys soundly...arum knows all this...

              Ridiculous.
In Floyd's defense for a second, he hasn't said 60/40... he has just said he wanted the lions share, there is kinda a difference (unless there is a time he said 60/40 and I forgot), but from what I know all Floyd has said is that he doesn't want 50/50 and he wants the lions share, but the split of that lions share would be down to Ellerbe and Haymon to sort out.

I get what your saying though, just saying that 60/40 hasn't yet been asked for from what I remember (once again I might have forgot a few things, this fight has had so much talk about it so). I just wanna see the fight, its a huge fight... 50/50 or 60 to the winner and 40 to the loser is fair IMO.

like Mayweather said all roads lead to him. Bob arum knows the biggest fight Manny

can make is with mayweather. I FIGURE BOB ARUM MILKS MANNY TO THE END THAN SACRIFICES HIM TO FLOYD.

this fight won't happen because of the silly reason that arums says.everybody knows that no fighter gets more money than money mayweather himself. this fight won't happen because cotto is going to smash that midget pac. the real mega fight is pbf vs cotto.

Fact of the matter is that, fmj can be the ppv king with his boring ass fights. i buy fights because i know i'm getting my moneys worth ...i have not and more than likely wont ever buy a fmj fight unless its against mosely, pac, cotto or pwill. Its not because of fmj that i'd buy the fight, its because of his opponent in the opposite corner. But we know he wont fight any of those 4 mentioned......so why did he come back? he said to fight the best right? ****, this fool is a ***in clown.........
