  • I have a better reason why Paquiao/Mayweather won't happen: Cotto will ko Paquiao and why would Mayweather fight a loser? The fight will be Cotto/Mayweather and Cotto will be happy to accept 40%, trust me.

The thing is though, if he really wanted the fight to happen he would take a cut in pay to prove he is the best; I mean 40% of 80 million, lets say, is still 32 million bucks. How can he say he won't take that kinda money to fight?
why should he? What stats support manny being the bigger draw or generatign more money?

        • If Pacman beats Cotto, this fight would be HUGE, I reckon it'd beat Delahoya v Money may. Everyone on the street seems to know pacquaio now, this **** would be off the HOOK.

          • I didnt know that the amount of money that each fighter made on a fight, made the fight good or bad? Someone around here is acting like thats all that matters, if thats the case you're not a boxing fan, you're Floyd's fan cus he got a lot of money. He got paid a lot more money than a lot of boxers on JMM's fight. That didnt make the fight any better than lets say, JML's fight last week. To me that JMM's fight was ****ty... One sided fight the whole time... Half way thru i didnt wanna watch it anymore.

Its not because of fmj that i'd buy the fight, its because of his opponent in the opposite corner. But we know he wont fight any of those 4 mentioned......so why did he come back? he said to fight the best right? ****, this fool is a ***in clown.........
Thank goodness for Sopcast cause I won't be buying anything of his until he fights Mosley, Cotto, or PWill.

              • Mayweathers most staunch defenders consistently make arguments about the money HE is making. None of you ****riders are spending a quarter of his money so I could care less what he makes. What I do care about his he got treated like a cold beeeyotch by Shane who confronted him in his face. Any man on this board have another man jump in his face and it would be time for some action. Floyd got chumped in from of MILLIONS of viewers. How are you NOT gonna be able to sell over a million homes after that?

This is what I don't get. I could understand if Floyd had Manny's numbers and was asking for a huge split. Arum has been coming out and killing the fight before Pac has even stepped in the ring with Cotto and still people say its Mayweathers fault. I really have not heard a real reason that Mayweather asking for more is so crazy other than Arum said so. I know that if Pac had better overall PPV numbers than Floyd people would laugh at Floyd thinking he could get 50%.

I take it you're really not a boxing fan. Because as a boxing fan you understand and appreciate the different stlyes that each fight posseses. Whether it be an aggressive style or a masterful defensive counter-punching stlye. The beautiful defense, and the 290 punches Mayweather landed his last fight must have been oring to you. I'm sure you'd rather see two dudes lay on each other for 5 min rounds (UFC) and call that exciting. But please go ahead and sopcast it up homie. Being that Mayweather was able to do a mil in ppv buys fighting Marquez, I highly doubt he'll miss your 1 ppv buy too much.

So what was Floyd to do, punch Shane and get fined??? That would have show'd Shane who was boss... Nah, lil homie what Mayweather did was smart. He kept his cool, and acted like a professional. You see BOXING is not just fighting, it's also a business. Mayweather is hitting Shane harder than anyone has hit him before. He's simply not giving Shane the payday that he wants. So not only is DLH pimpin Shane and screwing him on potential fights, so is Mayweather.
