Even 350k is bad for Tank and his fans who were pushing him as the face of boxing, but I think those numbers are legit and basically what I expected. He was never a huge draw apart from the exception of the Garcia fight. Any sensible person knew that.

350k vs a Frank Martin is bad? You people say anything. Canelo himself did 230k vs Ryder and 500k vs Munguia who is a way bigger draw than Frank and had Mexicans support. Haney vs Garcia numbers still not released. 350k vs Frank Martin is a huge success

No way of authenticating those figures. But common sense tells me that selling 100K PPVs is a tall order for any broadcaster. When I watch boxing and look at the other channels in other time zones, I see masses of people watching football, cricket, tennis, rugby, etc. These sports activities are going on at the same exact time. Simply put, these people are not watching boxing.
In the US I see people watching basketball on overtime, or replays of football, baseball, tennis, etc. So if any contact sports businesses still manage to sell 100K, that's a feat. One hundred thousand households buying is even hard to imagine in this day and age of Youtube and social media where everyone can virtually show what's going on in their surroundings. I've heard one acquaintance being able to watch a live tv show on his buddy's cell phone.

I remember during the internet's infancy, a friend of mine wanted to sell tutorials teaching this particular 3D program. He thought in terms of millions of people. And if he could only sell his tutorial to one million people even for one dollar a piece, he could be a millionaire! Much to his amazement, only 4 - 12 people bought it in a span of like 3 months. And how many hours of labor did he spend crafting his tutorials?

Tank vs Martin did just under 150,000 PPV BUYS

I'm cooking the SLDBC all weekend lol.

Frank Martin is a good fighter, unfortunately for a PPV to break even and beyond they need to put on an either even match-up or one guaranteed KO from both sides. Tank is a PPV star but these PPV matches are getting expensive.

Hell, we’re getting Canelo-Berlanga in September which 95% sure it ends in a KO and yet…I would have to be bat**** crazy to drop money on that.

If fighters want to make the big money, they need to put on what the people want. Plain and simple.

Loma vs. Tank will sell. They just have to coax Loma back into the ring.

I don't really know what it's about exactly, but that guy (Rick G.) seems to particularly hate PBC.
Grand scheme of things aren't looking too great for PBC right now though/so far this year.
