Meh. Who cares. Just goes to show that fights like these should not be put on PPV. People aren't throwing their money around as reckless as the past. They're being more selective on what events are PPV worthy.

I said it before and I'll say here, Tank should have used this fight as a free for all to see him after they've heard the hype from his other PPV bouts. Kind of like giving something back while letting more casuals come to see you that aren't ready yet to fork over the PPV money. THEN, you can actually put on a PPV worthy fight, and all the casuals you scooped up on the interim since your last big PPV, they'll follow you into the next big PPV. Instead these guys think they hit PPV once and every fight after needs to be, regardless if it's a trash fight.

The pay-per-view market for boxing has been done for several years now. Some of it is due to theft. But a lot of it is also because most of these guys are not very well known and are not household names and secondly because of the fact that a lot of these fights are not justified to be on Pay-per-view anyway. All of that combines to make pay-per-view numbers small

I dont get why any promoter would want tank. Hell, Arum complained he couldnt make money with a REAL fighter in Crawford.

Depends on what they paid Tank and Benevidez. They weren’t making Canelo money so that might not be a bad buy rate.
