That's not a razor thin decision type fight. That's a clear, decisive win for Usyk.Comment

In the 1st round, Usyk landed 9 punches to Fury's 8.
Other rounds is 13-15, 13-12, & 15-13.
Those are basically all swing rounds that could go either way based on what punch landed.
A Fury uppercut that hurts Usyk can be worth more than 2 or 3 jabs or a left hook that's partially deflected or barely hurts Fury.

Earlier, a commenter said Fury could have won with a punch-n-hug strategy plus leaning heavily on Usyk. Props to Fury for not doing that. I always hated it when Wladimir Klitschko pulled that dirty trick on his opponents. Boxing is about hitting and not getting hit, but I personally dislike the tactics where “not getting hit” means we get 36 minutes of two sweaty men hugging.Comment

I had the final score Usyk 115-112… Ya I had it 4-2 after 6 then Fury started his showboating & clowning around. He was in control & I think he thought he was on the cusp of stopping him but Usyk dominated the 2nd half. He let his foot off the gas & Usyk kicked his ass the 2nd half. I can’t remember what round i gave him but 4-2 Fury after 6 but Usyk 5-1 from rounds 7-12. That is what I observed.Comment

13 punches over 12 rounds is not "clear, decisive".

Compubox shows Usyk landing 27 more power punches than Fury and he also scored a knockdown. Usyk's punches were consistently cleaner and harder than Fury's.Last edited by kafkod; 06-27-2024, 09:00 PM.Comment

Over the whole fight, Fury only landed 2 uppercuts that hurt Usyk, and they both landed in the same round. The rest of the time, Fury was doing nothing but flicking and poking with his jab, while Usyk was landing solid punches to head and body with both hands, hurting Fury multiple times and bullying him around the ring.
Compubox shows Usyk landing 27 more power punches than Fury and he also scored a knockdown. Usyk's punches were consistently cleaner and harder than Fury's.
I saw Fury doing a lot of good work throughout the middle rounds and he outlanded Usyk in the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, & 6th rounds.
He was outlanded by 2 or less punches in the 2nd, 7th, & 11th rounds.
That's 8 rounds that he either has an argument for winning or could go either way.
It was a razor thin fight, like I said.Comment
