The Herky Jerky Man that bamboozled Klit was legit as was Kronk Fury who took the wind out of Wilder's sail.

The Clown Prince that Usyk exposed gets a pass cos Father Time is undefeated and that is who he really been fighting the last few years.

Best of his era ?...yeah nah. Close but no cigar!

Very inconsistent but when he was on form he was pretty damn good. Not common to see a guy of his size have that kind of mobility, skills and ring IQ, on the flipside he lacked power for such a big guy.

People definitely got carried away overrating him though.

The way that I see it is like this:

He was, from 11-28-2015 to 05-18-24, the undefeated heavyweight champion of the Entire World of 8.1 Billion human beings.
Holder of the flagship, unlimited size championship under the only hand to hand combat rules that recorded human history deems as important.

This places him among the most historically significant living persons on earth.

These truths, I hold to be self evident.

Those who might challenge this ascertain are laymen, soft people, pedestrians who are not accomplished enough in their own lifes to be in position to judge or rate such a man.

          Trolling posters? Meh.

That said, he could have upped his game in the number of times he saw fit to defend his title over such a long span of time!!!

But he isn't 6ft 5. This is heavyweight boxing - size is a part of the makeup of the best fighters in the world.

He's big and he's awkward. At his best he was overrated simply because Wilder massively overrated. But he's being completely underrated now. He's behind Usyk and competing with Joshua inside the top 3... that's a pretty good level.

This era is being completely underrated too, by the way. People will look back on this era with decent regard for the top fighters.

The biggest tell of Fury’s career is that in the 9 years between those dates, the only threat he fought was Wilder. I mean you could include Whyte, but he’d already been knocked spark out by AJ and Povetkin.

Very thin in the title defenses department. Everybody can agree. Really impacts his legacy. Wilder's got him beat and despite losing his title twice, even Joshua made almost as many successful defences!.

On the flipside, Whyte actually improved quite a bit after his battle of the UK prospects fight with AJ, even passing Joshua in the ratings for a time leading to his title challenge, where he exchanged KOs with Povetkin.

People love to criticize Wilder now that he's aged out of his prime years. Maybe the same people who last year said that Wilder would KO Joshua faster than Ruiz.

Fans. They're allowed to think anything.

He was pretty elusive against Wlad but as of now he is a Usyk leftover who is himself a Shawn Porter leftover so do the math.
