Oh, my bad, for not being a fan of the most annoying active fighter in boxing, Devin Haney.

I’ve been called the N word with the er, was placed in a group called “The Mayweather Mafia” by battlingnelson (didn’t ask for it, was one of the first 5 or so members mentioned in that OP), i’ve been called all sorts of other sneaky racist names.

None of that name-calling ever deterred me from rooting for the fighters I want to root for. Whether they’re Latino, Black, White, Asian, idc.

And being called racist against black fighters isn’t going to make me like Devin Haney, Demetrius Andrade, and Shakur Stevenson.

And i’m sorry but you can never make other fans like a fighter by complaining about it and calling them racist. That’s not how boxing works.

Ryan cheated. That taints and questions his performance in that fight. Ryan using PEDs is the issue, right?

Haney obviously has defensive things he needs to work on. Sure you can be happy he lost, but he didn’t lose fairly.

To me the hate is strongest on Garcia than the other way around. If the roles were reversed (Haney tested positive), I wouldn't be so quick to say IT'S THE PEDS that made Garcia lose the fight. That's just so silly to me. That seems to be the prevailing narrative coming from Haney fans. That to me makes your credibility suspect.

haney gave loma a shot for undisputed & made an offer to shakur for a big fight, hes got a good attitude like that, he wanted the tank fight and said so, he wanted and still wants the big fights, kudos to him bigtime for that, he got messed up badly by cheating cryin crazy ass ryan

haney has been annoying with his pops and the crown him crap its my era etc etc but thats how boxing goes, guys like to do that, i didnt like his attitude to loma saying he was going to retire him, hes privileged and all that crap and then shoving him like hes some hard man and then failing to do any of that and getting bailed out by the judges, so its swings and roundabout like it is with a lot of guys

It is pretty obvious at this point the reason. We got people pretending they are doing so because of his style, or his father, etc.

Lot of posters come off ad fake and phony given there was a perverse joy when Ryan won, rooted in race. Check a lot of the post fight comments and the subsequent bans.

When it turned out he cheated, a lot of posters looked incredibly bad. Instead of just criticizing Ryan, they doubled down and gave him every excuse.

The fact is those posters don’t care if Ryan cheated using PEDs or not. So long as the black guy lost.

Sad but that is where too many posters are at this point.

Really sad part is that for boxing fans, the positive PED test ruined a great stat making performance by someone many of us see as a boxer that can grow the sport.

Last week You commented in a thread about ‘did Haney get the decision reversed because he is black’. That thread has been deleted.

Prior to that, you liked multiple posts from teetotaler claiming Haney being black was why they suspended Ryan. He was since banned.

I answered the TS question citing examples based on posts and threads. That isn’t playing any race card.

You realize how weak you look constantly posting that?

If there were a different reason, you’d tell us. That you didn’t, and cried race card, shows my point has validity.

Of course it is hard to come up with a valid reason why you and others are defending Ryan’s PED use.

It is a fair question. I have actually defended Devin and was a fan prior to the Ryan fight. I even was a fan of Bill Haney! Especially since I feel an affinity to the East Bay (No respectable native calls the area "Oakland" lol). Oakland is no joke... a midsize city with massive rep! Some of the most succesful athletes, entertainers, pimps, drug dealers, activists have made Oakland their base...I am a fan! And when I see a dad swinging the bat hard for their kid? I give a lot... I excuse a lot... But some things started me looking a little more critically:

1. I don't like Bill saying he was going get Regis Prograis killed in the ring... No no... Kids get killed way to easily in New Orleans (another one of my favorite cities) and Oakland. Your a father, you do not say such things to another young man. Ditto to what he said to Ryan.

2. Haney cheats... he was massively overweight for the prograis fight! other members say "he did not break a rule" well... to each his own, to me? cheating is cheating. Haney was massively bigger in the Prograis fight.

3. The way Bill handled the defeat... he left Haney out there alone. Shows his character. Haney follows his father, same character.

I just lost all respect for both of them. Haney is talented but his own weight cheating has caught up to him and like Broner he has become a talented fighter without a division. He really needs to fight at a higher weight, but cannot really hit hard enough... he cannot fight at a lower weight without cheating himself... Him and Bill need to get it sorted and stop pretending he didn't get dropped hard.
