Why so much hate for Haney? He's obviously a very talented, world class fighter who pushed himself against top competition at a young age. Show some respect!

Unfortunately for the Haney's their antics and saying that they were going to kill or have Ryan as close to death or sending him to intensive care did not ring well with most and after saying all that he was the one that was on the canvass.
Haney is still a talented top fighter regardless what the haters say but the secret is out that if pressed he can be dropped unless he rectifies that bad habit of bending low to his right.

Especially since I feel an affinity to the East Bay (No respectable native calls the area "Oakland" lol). Oakland is no joke... a midsize city with massive rep! Some of the most succesful athletes, entertainers, pimps, drug dealers, activists have made Oakland their base...I am a fan! And when I see a dad swinging the bat hard for their kid? I give a lot... I excuse a lot... But some things started me looking a little more critically:
1. I don't like Bill saying he was going get Regis Prograis killed in the ring... No no... Kids get killed way to easily in New Orleans (another one of my favorite cities) and Oakland. Your a father, you do not say such things to another young man. Ditto to what he said to Ryan.
2. Haney cheats... he was massively overweight for the prograis fight! other members say "he did not break a rule" well... to each his own, to me? cheating is cheating. Haney was massively bigger in the Prograis fight.
3. The way Bill handled the defeat... he left Haney out there alone. Shows his character. Haney follows his father, same character.
I just lost all respect for both of them. Haney is talented but his own weight cheating has caught up to him and like Broner he has become a talented fighter without a division. He really needs to fight at a higher weight, but cannot really hit hard enough... he cannot fight at a lower weight without cheating himself... Him and Bill need to get it sorted and stop pretending he didn't get dropped hard.
Good read

That is cheating. Almost as bad as lying on a state form to try and get Toradol.

Some of you Shoulder Roll for example, put the law above when it comes to transgressions. I can understand this, while disagreeing. Haney is a weight cheat Dunn. What he did to Prograis, a Creole of color, if it matters... was IMO equally unethical. He had to be at least 10 pounds heavier than Prograis. No, he did not break the law... some of you care, I do not.
Also, let’s stop the fake NSB created BS about weight bully or cheat. That is not a real thing. If a guy makes weight, rehydrates, and wins so be it.
I am fine if you don’t like it. Just don’t make up that it violated a rule.
When Haney failed to make weight, he was penalized for it. Same as everyone. There is no rule against being heavier from rehydration.megas30 likes this.

"Weight bully" = a fighter I don't like who keeps winning so I want him to move up weight classes.megas30

He's a boring feather fisted fighter who style makes me rather attach car jumpers to my balls for 36 minutes. At the first signs of adversity,he literally HUGS his opponent to death, and drops his head into the other boxers crotch,to avoid getting hit. Overrated defence, and little to no actual footwork. Shakur is a much better all around fighter.smith3536 likes this.

I'm perplexed why he's getting **** for Ryan being on PEDs. I mean the commission was always going to overturn that decision so I don't understand what Haney did wrong there.

No I made a point of saying it didn't violate a rule. I agree with you.
Rehydrating in excessive amounts to some of us is cheating. It makes weight classes really obsolete.
