Comments Thread For: Team Haney Respond As Ryan Garcia Announces 'Official' Retirement In Face Of NYSAC Ruling On Failed Tests

I feel a disqualification win for Haney is unjust
Haney doesn’t deserve a victory. Garcia deserves a punishment - ban, victory changing to no contest
disqualification win for Haney is incredibly ‘extra’. Goes way beyond what’s necessaryComment

I just don’t understand it myself. How can any true boxing fan justify drug use in boxing? They never did this back in the 1970s, 1980s or the 1990s. Not only does it hurt boxing but it makes all athletes look bad. We’ve got folks still on here to this day defending other cheaters, his career will go on. From Canelo to fury to half of the Reynoso camp, yall are still tuning in to what guys who’ve failed and got minor slaps on the wrist for it. So I expect him to be back anyway much like the many other cheaters this sport produces. Nothing funnier than watching people who make excuses for other fighters trash another cheater tho.

Another grotesque chapter in boxing. If the penalties aren’t so severe that these cheaters stop, this will keep happening with frequencyComment

The fact cRyan claims he's gonna retire should tell everyone what's going on. The fact there's still defenders of a cheater and unprofessional shoukd tell everyone what's going on.
Good riddance if true. No need for bs in this sportComment

Ryan is not retiring LOL
“Reporting” his Twitter feed as actual news is beyond comical.
Haney being declared the victor is absolutely absurd and just adds another layer of corruption for the NYSAC who gave Haney the ref, judge, and drug man LOL.. even had Sportscenter lined up for him LOL
Ryan should never fight him again and damn sure should never fight in NY again.Comment

Without being a douche, are we entirely sure that Bob's budget for a Teo vs Haney fight is the same as his uncontested winning bid for the proposed Haney vs Martin fight?Do you mean that Haney should relinquish his own title and fight for Teofimo’s? If so, then it doesn’t sound like such a bad proposition. However, the purse bid could be a problem. I think that both Haney and Lopez are going to demand a minimum of at least $5M each to fight each other. That’s four times more than what Bob is offering now. However, Bob does appear to have a soft spot in his heart for Devin Haney and his father Bill. So anything is possible.
My guess would be that it isn't.Comment

He's so full of **** in every post he's putting out. I feel like I'm reading a post from the former president every time I see Garcia post something. Just utter nonsense that is full of bs.
You damn know he's coming back and you damn know he's guilty of what he did. He's trying to cry loud to make people stay on his side like he didn't know or he was innocent the entire time. The minute he didn't make weight, the fight had an asterisk.
Where the real fighters at? At least make weight for god's sake.Comment
