No one is ducking Stevenson, but know how the game is played. He doesn’t bring anything to the table. He is not a PPV star, his fights are more boring than Pernell and Floyd put together. No boxer ducks any other fighter, they are more business and $$ oriented.

Bill Haney, drop that belt, and make a real offer to Shakur, and get that Big Bag! Devin needs this one!
Shakur Stevenson bored everyone to sleep in his last fight and did himself no favors. If you want to be in big money fights then you have to be appealing to the fans, which he simply isn’t at this point.

Tank vs Lomachenko will sell much better on PPV right now.

I think that part of the problem why people don't want to fight Shakur is,that if he stinks out the joint in beating you , now your name is also associated with a terrible, boring fight, whether rightly or wrongly. On top of that , you lost. Your next paycheck is going to be a lot smaller and the stench of the boring fight will take some fights to get off of you. Also , because of Shakurs recent reputation , the fight probably won't sell well.

Linares was a big name back then, he fought Lomachenko.

Rigondeaux came up like 2-3 weight classes to fight Lomachenko.

Nicholas Walters was a big name at the time and he fought Lomachenko.

Loma’s never really been ducked or seen as someone to duck. Only Tank has ducked him.
Stevenson extended an offer to fight Loma, and was turned down. Please stop acting as though Loma is still at the top of his game. Loma is no longer at the top of his game and will get knocked out if he steps in the ring with Tank.

Come on, now. Tank vs Lomachenko is far and away a bigger fight.

Shakur had no chance of getting Tank next.

Loma and Shakur not comparable. Loma has always been in there to stop his opponent. He was always there to get hit, his feet and head, and his boxing IQ, are just so ridiculous that he made it look easy against really good fighters.

Shakur has talent and can be a big name. But as others have said, he is going to have to take more risks and get his opponents out of there. As Floyd moved up in weight he made himself the villian, he knew he was doing to fight defense first as the opponents got heavier and stronger, and he made fans hate him and made them want to see him get KO'd. Brilliant move and it made him super wealthy.

I don't think Shakur can do that. He is going to need to go in far more aggressive and stop guys. If everyone fought like he does, there would be no fights, the fans would never watch it.

I think Loma is gonna shock quite a few and beat Davis badly.

Yeah... Stevenson has done himself no favors by routinely doing the bare minimum needed to win any fight. It doesn't take a pro to respect his talent. Stevenson is a gifted, smooth operator. But this is a spectator sport. You need eyeballs, and Lomachenko and any one of several other names provide 100% a better fight than Stevenson does right now. He needs some dominate, fun wins. Than Tank will come calling.

That’s the problem right there. Three years ago, legend was around and nobody wanted to fight him. After he gets beat by Teo and Haney and is older, is when they wanna fight him.
Tank is 29 and Shakur is 26, they too could have fought two years ago but they didn’t.

To prove this point, do you think if Loma was to choose to unify with Denys Berinchyk (WBO), would Tank and Shakur would fight each other for a unification?
But Loma is not fighting Berinchyk.
He's fighting Tank because he wants to get paid.
Tank & Loma want the biggest name possible at 135.
That biggest name is each other.

Shakur beats tank EASILY. Remember that i said it. EASILY. Same would of been true for Teo. Hes always avoided outstanding boxers and KO artists.
