This is as much top ranks fault as it is shakurs. Bad match making and bad performances.

If Bob Arum is smart, and I think he is, the winner will face Shakur Stevenson as part of the contract. If Bob doesn't get Shakur Stevenson either Lomachanko or Tank..... Shakur Stevenson walks. That said, Bob was penny wise and dollar foolish with Crawford so it could go either way.

The difference is Lomachenko was stopping everybody and putting on scintillating performances. Shakur bears more resemblance to prime Rigondeaux, very good boxer but also quite negative and often hard to watch.

Shakur also went down a notch in my estimation when he disrespectfully told Kambosos after the Maxi Hughes fight that he won't fight him. Attended the fight just to basically say "you under-performed, you're beneath me now and I won't fight you." That's not the behaviour of somebody who "wants all the smoke" as he so proudly likes to proclaim. Kambosos would have been a great measuring stick and a solid win regardless of the Hughes fight. To make matters worse, Shakur then went on to look equally bad himself last time out.

Another key difference with Lomachenko is that Loma was willing to take short money to secure fights, with no more obvious example than when he literally gave up a chunk of his purse to Teo in order to ensure that fight happened. Shakur on the other hand had the opportunity to fight for the undisputed lightweight title, all four belts in one go against Haney and turned it down because the purse split wasn't to his liking. Due to that and the Kambosos thing I find it hard to have any sympathy for his current predicament.

Tank should deal with Loma first before Shakur.
I want to see Shakur fight some big names before fighting Tank.

Tank & Loma want the biggest name possible at 135.
That biggest name is each other.

I specifically made it a hypothetical argument by saying “IF”.
Loma was available the last three years, why wasn’t Tank clamoring for a fight with him?

Loma is 36. Sure he looked spectacular against Kamboso who beat Teo and that’s about it.

If Loma gets beat, how does that elevate Tank and will Tank fight Shakur or will it be the usual A side B side BS?

I don't recall anyone ever avoiding Loma. Linares, Pedraza, Lopez, Commey, Haney and Ortiz all ran to him.

Big names like who? No one wants to fight Shakur.

Tell Shakar to drop a couple zeros off of his asking price and big names will line up to fight him.
