I don't even think Davis needs any coaching.
Like he says to Frank Martin in the presscon, "His trainer is here for a check."

Loma was able to handle Teo's punches who is bigger than Tank. Teo came from Destroying Commey to not hurting Loma. Tank does not bring the Size advantage that others at 135 did, like Teo, Ortiz, and Haney. I favored Tank a little due to his youth. Loma is not as active as before.

Check round 11 and 12. Part of the reason Loma didn’t look hurt imo was his lack of throwing punches from rounds 1-7. He didn’t expend much energy.

He threw hard and often 8-11 and you could see the activity, coupled with Teo’s punches, really impacted him.

Come on fellas. That is a bit hypocritical.

Frankly, there is no guarantee Tank wins.
Has Tank Davis been unproven these last 5 years? He's been a world champion for over 7 years and the self-proclaimed 'face of boxing' for a good while now. Tank Davis can make any fight he wants, but he has made it plenty clear that he does not want any part of a fresh Lomachenko. Having said this, you're right, there is no guarantee that a prime Tank Davis beats an old Lomachenko. Loma looked spry enough in his last fight to keep Team Davis doubting themselves.

5 years ago tank was 24. Teofimo was 23 and BEAT loma. “Unproven” in this case is just no desire to dare to be great.

Funny devin and teo are younger than tank and they have no problem fighting top guys

Don’t dance around the point I made relative to those posts.

Yes, he could’ve fought Loma once Bob had done all the in house fights. We agree. He can make any fight he wants, true.

Just don’t complaining that prime Loma didn’t get to beat up 23-24 yr old Tank, and that prime Tank gets again Loma.

I don’t think it’s doubt. They are making good money this way. Loma isn’t exactly a huge seat seller.

It’s like Calzaghe waiting out Bhop and Roy while he made bank overseas.

Teo was also with TR. Bob was making all in house LW fights during this period. It’s why Haney had to sign with TR or he wouldn’t get any fights.

It’s not just about daring to be great. Shakur would fight Loma in a heartbeat but Bob isn’t making the fight. He wouldn’t make Floyd v ODH. These guys want to be great too but the opportunity is being denied by the promoter.

One way to look at it. They also aren’t moving the seats Tank is. You’re a long time fan. You know the dudes that sell seats as a young up and comer have an easier road than the dudes that don’t.

Trust me. Team Davis is more than confident of Tank fucking Loma up. They all saw how the “Matrix” struggled to defeat both Teofimo Lopez, Jr and Devin Haney while losing to them both.
