Yet you have an issue if prime Tank beats up old Loma.
Come on fellas. That is a bit hypocritical.
Frankly, there is no guarantee Tank wins.Lomachenko is not terribly old at 36, and he hasn't had a long, tough pro career, having 21 fights in 11 years. He's fresh enough to give Tank a good fight.

A lot of posters, me included, don’t think it’s a given Tank beats Loma. A good number are picking Loma.
So the fight should be fine right now. It is probably 55/45 in favor of Tank.

I can't say why the fight didn't materialize earlier - there is a lot in the background that we'll never see or know, so that's behind now. From my perspective, I keep seeing two outcomes, one where Davis catches Loma or Loma wins a decision. My mind goes back and forth on those. I also thought the days leading up and involving how each fighter looks at the weigh-in would my tilt my thoughts into one direction but I don't think that will happen. I am totally split down the middle on this one. Only one time before I've been totally split down the middle on a fight in years and that was the Crawford vs Spence fight.Last edited by richardt; 06-18-2024, 04:07 PM.

Agreed. Loma would be the highest-skilled opponent Tank has faced to date. It would be a very technical fight between southpaw counter-punchers.

Teo was with TR. He got the fight. He was a huge underdog. A lot of people called that a cherry pick gone wrong- I don’t agree FTR.
As I said, notice Shakur isn’t getting it despite him wanting it now. See the difference?
I didn’t defend anything. I said he easily could’ve fought him. Just stop the fake anger because he is going to do it when he has the best chance to win.
Of course he did. Tank is the big earner in the division. Tank and PBC went about their business building him into a big earner. They will both make more now if they fight next.
Rigo was moved up 2 weight classes. He wasn’t in his prime.
Walters and Loma were the best 126 lbers. At FW if was a 50/50 fight. Bob sat Walters for a year, gave Loma fight at 130 to get used to the weight, then made the fight at 130 to give Loma the best chance to win.
edit- alot of posters are not sure Tank can beat Loma now. So why is the fight so bad if that is the case?
