It's a good move for him, now he can continue his why not me campaign, and make money off of it. Truth be told, he needs to fight DM, that will sell, he will make money.
THEN, he will deserve a Canelo fight, in the meantime, he doesn't have to fight the real lions in Bivol and AB, and can still carry that "Monster" moniker.tokon likes this.

Well Mate, in my view an Excellent move on the part of Benavides. He logically cannot make a move at 175 since Bivol and Beterbiev are tentatively penciled in for October and a rematch is already in the cards. No need to sit idle. By taking this route it puts more pressure on the obviously Reluctant( Nice terminology for the thin skinned, easily triggered, emotional Canelo contingency) but for REAL HARD-corefans of THE SPORT( plain street terms) - COWARD Canelo, to become a man and finally fight Benavides. Now that we know that Benavides was indeed not 100 percent ( however it's my belief that even at 100 percent he still loses to Bivol) for this recent bout this should quiet the ones who are slagging him off by saying he's making excuses. But it won't because people NEED A NARRATIVE when they have agendas and biases. One narrative making the rounds is that Benavides will get smoked by Canelo. Of course just on the face of that it says these people know NOTHING at all about BOXING. These are the lower tier trolls who definitely have no knowledge of boxing even from a general sense. The other narrative is that Benavides is begging Canelo for a fight. These are the DRAMA QUEENS Who absolutely know nothing about boxing and just rather prefer to engage in this middle aged spinster women type soap opera trolling because that type of foolishness seems to be envogue with American Boys these days. Never mind the fact that Benavides is Canelos mandatory going on 3 years running now. All that being said, I have zero interest in seeing Canelo vs Crawford because as good as Crawford is, he's just too small to endure a 12 round bout against someone who has been campaigning at 168 for a good spell now. Im not interested in seeing Canelo fight as is his M.O., another small guy up in age, jumping 3 weight classes. Its funny People like to refer to Benavides as a weight bully but in truth That is what Canelo has been doing throughout the course of his career. It will be interesting to see what web the WBC will weave in regards to this decision by Benavides. Will they continue to run interference for Canelo or will they finally demonstrate some actual Integrity and make Canelo put up or shut up . I won't hold my breath on this one.Last edited by Spartacus26; 06-18-2024, 11:12 AM.

No doubt within the next 3-4 weeks there'll be yet another fresh excuse generated by that shook clown.
You're wasting your time explaining anything Boxing with this guy
He's a Canelo Fanboy
Just like his Idol Canelo He'll give you excuse after excuse why the fight shouldn't happen
Then "lmao" at his his own comment
The Canelo Fans claim Benavidez isn't worth the fight and Canelo isn't ducking him
But yet they can't explain yet Why Canelo wants $200M just to fight him
Doesn't make sense..........

Canelo has the most pathetic list of title defenses since becoming undisputed against a fairly weak group of champions. The only ducking going on is with canelo. Benavidez has made himself the clear top option for canelo in terms of being the most credible boxer he can face and the one that will make him the most money. So why is he running from the fight ? The answer is simple, he’s scared to take the risk. He’d prefer to fool his cult fan base with low level opponents, and people with no integrity as boxing fans such as yourself will defend it.

Bivol isnt nearly as big and powerful as Gvozdyk and like Gvozdyk Benavidez already put a beating on Bivol in sparring. Betterbieve would be just as big and strong as Gvozdyk but he's old his days are numbered. Benavidez would steam roll him.Last edited by Spartacus26; 06-18-2024, 11:22 AM.
