Being a fan of the sport means wanting to see the best fights get made and canelo is spitting right in the face of fans with his weak selections. Now if you want to be a canelo fan boy who defends him ducking Benavidez, that’s on you. But REAL boxing fans are tired of his sh-**. Word is he’s fighting scull next, the fk is that?
I never defend Canelo. Obviously Canelo should be fighting Benavidez. But that doesn't exclude the Benavidez's matchmaking outside of Canelo. Why is Benavidez career solely based on him figfhting Canelo? There are so many other good fights that can be made but people hate Canelo so much they care more about him fighting Benavidez to lose rather than seeing Benavidez have a productive career. Benavidez just moved up to 175. Why no demand/hype for him to fight the Bivol/Beterbiev winner? People are still talking about Canelo who is a weight below him atp. Benavidez is the only fighter who moved up and people still entertain him talking about fighting a fighter in a lower weight class, a figher who is way past prime and super small for the weight class. So many options at 175, his natural weight, why not speak on them? Because 90% of Benavidez fans are just Canelo haters. His PPV numbers reflect that

And that's the problem. The best should fight the best, used to be that way back in the day in order to make money. Now you have a couple of divas and they dictate who can make money, and of course almost everyone is waiting for the lottery ticket, the millennial way. He doesn't fight Morrell Jr because he's afraid to lose, just like canelo. So please stop with the he doesn't have anything to offer bs excuse. Remember when he said he will fight him?

Whats Morrell done to prove he's one of the best again?

Benavidez is on record stating he wants to fight the beterbiev vs Bivol winner. But unfortunately that fight was pushed from June until October. So he can’t fight the winner of that fight until some point next year. Canelo is the one who needs to man up. I don’t want to hear anything about him being an older smaller fighter for the weight class because that’s exactly how canelo built his name. He fight a 40 yr old smaller Mosley. A 36 year old smaller mayweather. A 35 year old smaller cotto. So why isn’t he doing what those fighters were willing to do?

Everybody is running away from him, there's your proof. He held the regular WBA belt for three years and nobody challenge him, mbilli refused to fight for the belt even though he was the mandatory. If benavidez would have find the balls to face him, he could have put more pressure on canelo by beating him. Now they're both in a collision course at 175, but benavidez is coming back to 168.

So the answer is nothing. He has done nothing to prove he's worthy of fighting the top guy at 168. Benavidez is looking up not down, I am sure you can understand that

Canelo is irrelevant I just named 3 fighters that would mop the floor with canelo bivol/beterbiev/morrel Jr bumavidez would be a healthy favourite to beat canelo i personally think it’s a great fight it’s the most winnable fight for canelo out of morrel/bumavidez/bivol/beterbiev so I’d love to see it but like canelos really best weight is 160. He’s short af. speaking of GGG he never fought anybody his whole career not even one legit MW besides canelo and people adore him lol its laughable

Just like everyone else around the weight. Is only one on top by the grace of the alphabet soups organizations, canelo, he's after the money and I don't blame him, I have been a supporter of his claim, even though Morrell Jr is the longest standing mandatory for the WBA, but to said if canelo avoids you, you will fight a guy only to retract without explanation, that is fear of losing your turn in the queue. This is what Morrell Jr has done, regular WBA champ in his third fight, has beaten 3 undefeated fighters, I dare you to find another boxer with a similar resume in his first 10 fights, you can mentionnon activefighters too. He reminds me of Rigondeaux when mares, quigg, st+ y frampton were running away from the Jackal, what a shame and he was past his prime.
