I watched bumavidez since he was 17 and he’s always been severely overated by his dumba$$ fans. Before the gvodzyk fight he went on and on about forging his own path making his own name in the sport and not chasing canelo anymore and moving up win a belt at LHW and force a showdown. Then washed up 40 year gvodzyk who’s been garbage since his return gives him a tough fight and he immediately changes his tune. Right back to begging canelo. Dude would get wiped out by bivol or beterbiev and a couple others at 175 and he won’t go near morrel Jr at 168. Str8 up fraud.
If canelo was as confident in his abilities and in benavidez lack of abilities as you are, the fight would’ve happened already. You can’t give one valid reason for the fight not happening or for Ryder, charlo, an old ggg or munguia getting the fight above benavidez. Enjoy canelo vs scull.

Gvozdyk is a tough MF with a solid chin - don't forget he walked through one of the P4P hardest punchers at the time Stevenson's southpaw left over and over again and wasn't budged.

Benavidez beat him through work-rate (albeit at a lesser rate than at 168lbs), and this is the very attribute which will give Canelo major problems in whatever division they choose to fight in.
Yes, fought one guy and doesn't fancy anymore of that hard work at 175 where those guys are his size. 'nuff said . . .

Or Morrell at 168 and be mandatory/unified with two sanctioning orgs, but more pressure on Canelo for that payday. But Benavidez doesn't fancy that Morrell work.

Benavidez has made himself the clear top option for canelo in terms of being the most credible boxer he can face and the one that will make him the most money. So why is he running from the fight ? The answer is simple, he’s scared to take the risk. He’d prefer to fool his cult fan base with low level opponents, and people with no integrity as boxing fans such as yourself will defend it.
All of those "weak group of champions" were there for Benavidez to fight and unify with and he didn't One of those champions is the best name of Benavidez's record. Canelo was fighting champions and Benavidez was fighting Angulo, J Leon Love and Kyrone Davis. If Canelo's opponents are low level what are David's? THEN, he will deserve a Canelo fight, in the meantime, he doesn't have to fight the real lions in Bivol and AB, and can still carry that "Monster" moniker.
              You see it!

Benavidez was trying to make those fights before canelo ever came into the division. He had been asking for plant for years but plant would decline. You can only fight who is willing to fight you and they weren’t willing to fight Benavidez just like canelo isn’t willing to fight him. Being a fan of the sport means wanting to see the best fights get made and canelo is spitting right in the face of fans with his weak selections. Now if you want to be a canelo fan boy who defends him ducking Benavidez, that’s on you. But REAL boxing fans are tired of his sh-**. Word is he’s fighting scull next, the fk is that?

The funniest thing about all this is hearing the canelo fans ***** and moan about David needing to go to 175. Newsflash,he's been fighting at 168 since 2016 at the very least. When he lost his WBC belt on the scales in 2020 canelo swooped in and won the vacant belt against Callum smith. Now David wants HIS belt back,a belt that nobody ever beat him for, suddenly he needs to go through hoops and fight light heavies that canelo couldn't even beat? Only reason canelo fans are crying for David to leave the division is so the ginger can keep fighting no hoppers.

You’re stating too many facts in one comment. Canelo fans won’t be able to comprehend these truths as it’s well above their heads and contradicts their adoring view of him.
