How is he begging? He has earned the right to fight him and for his crack at the title. Canelo needs to either grow a pair of ballz and fight the man or vacate the title. Sounds like you just want him to let canelo off the hook. He’s Canelo’s mandatory and can’t make the only meaningful fight at 175 because Bivol and beterbiev aren’t fighting until October. Benavidez didn't look at all impressive fighting guys his own size did he. Better for him to stay weight bullying at 168.

He's only fought one guy?? An elite tough guy at that... People bring up Gvozdyk's age but you can see he is still fighting at a high level and would probably get by guys like Callum Smith and Buatsi without much trouble. Gvozdyk is a tough MF with a solid chin - don't forget he walked through one of the P4P hardest punchers at the time Stevenson's southpaw left over and over again and wasn't budged.

Benavidez beat him through work-rate (albeit at a lesser rate than at 168lbs), and this is the very attribute which will give Canelo major problems in whatever division they choose to fight in.
