What Mayweather and Schaefer are keeping quiet is that while Richard Schaefer was at Golden Boy, and at a time when Oscar de La Hoya was experiencing one of the lowest times of his life, Schaefer let GBP fighters promotional contracts expire and had the fighters sign with Al Haymon thinking he would be hired by Haymon for his dirty deed. Instead, Haymon used Schaefer and hung him out to dry.

Later, Schaefer started Probellum which was totally funded by Daniel Kinahan. When the U.S. and EU put a 5M bounty for the arrest of Kinahan, Schaefer’ was forced to close Probellum. Also, Schaefer is one of hundreds of individuals who has been put on the U. S. No Fly List like Tyson Fury and Frank Warren for his involvement in laundering money for Kinahan through his failed promotional company Probellum,

Schaefer is a dirty snake who cannot be trusted, so Mayweather better keep one eye open because Schaefer has a history of dirty dealing and screwing his paymasters. Everything Schaefer touches fails. Karma doesn’t like snakes like Schaefer.

Yeah I guess that is a good point that Ellerbe would probably be a lot more trustworthy and loyal to mayweather than Schafer. I see what Dick Schaefer did here. He's a total nobody on his own and he needs the name of Mayweather,
who is currently at a low point languishing in some unknown Dubai place. So it's not hard to persuade anyone in that situation.
And I also see that Richard only needs a guaranteed monthly salary (he's not greedy), but what about Mayweather? $1 mil per card is not enough.
And we all know the lion share goes to the fighters, not promoters. Reason why Floyd had to do exhibition fights.

Mayweather may not drink and do coke, but he does have a history of beating his women. Like I said, Schaefer is known in boxing as a snake who is not to be trusted. Mayweather Promotions has been a total failure. Mayweather is hoping Schaefer can raid other promoters fighters. At least Ellerbe was someone Mayweather could trust. Schaefer, a proven snake who was a horrible promoter. His speaking skills for being a promoter are beyond horrible. Any fighter who signs with this outfit is desperate.

Like I said, Richard Schaefer is a snake. The idiot took Golden Boy fighters to PBC thinking Al Haymon was going to reward him with a job, and at the end Haymon used him like toilet paper.

Makes sense, Mayweather wants to build a real promotional outfit with actual relationships not based on someone else's business (in this case Al Haymon and PBC). At this point LE hawks more for Haymon than Floyd. RS is a great choice to really build the business, and the stable, Mayweather is going to have to separate himself from Haymon promotionally eventually, this is the first step. I mean Mayweather promotions doesn't even have a website from what I can tell lol.
