Tank Davis vs Frank Martin predictions

Is this a foregone conclusion in Abdul Wahid's favor?

Anything can happen in boxing. What's next for Davis if he loses? What's next for Martin if he wins?

If Frank Martin can take Davis' "unseen" power punches, then Tank is in for a long night.

It's possible. But styles make fights as they say. Could be a bad style matchup for Tank or could be the easiest.

Martin will jump to an early lead then get caught and sparked in the second half of the fight. Frank didn't look special against Artem Harutyunyan although every fighter can have an off night....

I doubt it. He didn't "jump to an early lead" against a lower-level competition with Harutyunyan, let alone with Tank Davis. Frank was losing in the early rounds till his corner told him to ramp it up in the later rounds. That's when he rebounded and turn the fight around. He looked good in the later rounds though.

Tank will win via KO somewhere in the later half of the match, and his fans will drool over it, and the boxing records book will show that Tank finally fought a guy ranked top 5 in his weight class, and then the lightweight division will continue to live on without involving Tank in an unification fight.

It's more about what Tank does for me. I think Davis will be careful and take his time trying to calculate timing and distance which will allow Frank to put some rounds in the bank.

As for the Harutyunyan fight, I don't know what to make of it. Frank looked off and he even said he felt off in that fight. Artem's eye was getting worse and he started to fade which allowed Frank's conditioning to play a critical factor. That late KD helped Martin eke out the win.

I have Tank by KO in the mid rounds.

Tank has really low volume. If Frank can be slick on the outside and have a higher work rate than Tank without getting caught, he'll be able to bank some rounds before getting sparked out in the later rounds.

I don't think it's impossible though. We've seen some very improbable upsets, even recently.
