Wilder is not coming back, I believe. He said pretty clearly that a loss to Zhang would almost surely spell his career's end.

Oh - he lost the first Fury fight as well, if you ask me.

But maybe he wants one more big name win, and some more paydays? We don't walk in his shoes
      Can't disagree with this.
But it's obvious that he's lost a step at this point. For most of his career he's defied the odds by having sub par skills & fundamentals (terrible footwork, limited tools/weapons, and almost nonexistent defense) yet with physical abilities (power and SPEED) he was able to gain and defend the WBC belt for a good stretch.

People can talk about the recent wars he's been in or the age or resume BS all they want but that's all conjecture. What I simply see is he's slowed down a bit, which was clearly displayed with Zhang, notoriously known as a slow plodding heavy hitter, beat him to the punch in that KO. .... let's be honest SPEED BEATS POWER in the fight game, every time.

If he needs to shore up his cash, sure take a bout with Ngannou if available, or try to get the fight with AJ that we were robbed of years ago, both would at least be lucrative, but I'd rather he soak up some humility and retire with at least some cognitive abilities and health.

In hindsight they should have just made the Joshua fight without him needing a comeback win.

People still believed before Parker. And people still believed before Zhang. Now it would look irresponsible to Wilder's health to make that fight.

I can't see him going back to fighters of his level outside the top 10. It would just be embarrassing.

yes, in the past wilders right cross was like a missile, and that he was beaten by a hook, is a red flag.
Yes beating Francis is a respectable win, and if wilder still wants josh I'm sure Josh would want it. But does wilder think he can best josh, and if he, dont, can't see it happening

Wilder looked like Evander Holyfield did in his comeback fight - completely unstable on his legs from the opening bell. And without his balance, the power is clearly gone.

He’s shot, absolutely shot. Should never go into the ring again.

Yea we were robbed of that one, but it would be a good test to see if the AJ comeback is for real.
Nonetheless I'd rather see him go out with some health and not like Jerry Quarry.

All three of them are going going gone

                  Superb display by zhang

On a side not though his power looked lacking against Zhang but thats maybe just due to Zhang again
I mean yeah 'potentially' beat some names but more like C level D level fighters.

                  Top names NOW WAY.

It was proven with B level Parker and now Zhang.

                    Well said man.

Thick-headedness would make him fight more.

I feel the majority of fans (NOT man-fans) DO NOT want to see him in the ring anymore.

Of course, as it goes for many, wave enough money in their faces and they'll bite.

But how many fighters have retired and returned for money? Many.

Wilder said he would retire, but with enough money, he probably doesn't which is lame IMHO.

I DON'T want to see him back man.
