I think he has something left in the tank. He has been taking losses because guys are fighting him with more confidence now, not necessarily because he has physically deteriorated.

Regardless his fights will get tougher because of this but it aint like the division is stacked with good fighters. He can still beat some guys.

      Ouch.

Yeah, I just do not want to see him back against anymone. I have seen enough Wilder as a fan of the sport.

      He should just move on.

        Kownacki??

Screw that, I don't want to see Wilder against anyone. Kow probably beats him too man.

By the way, Chisora should have retired ages ago too, LOL.

        I get your point though.

Though hearing from Turki multiple times, it was clear that he had in mind to make the AJ-Wilder matchup happen. All he needed was Wilder to get by Zhang. If you see him following Wilder flattened out, the dude is sitting in his chair with his arms crossed almost stunned. He knows he lost out on that from ever happening at this point.

I also noticed more so in interviews Wilder conducted during the pre-fight that he might be slurring or stuttering more than ever before. He's taken plenty good punches in his career before delivering his own. I think it's catching up to him. At this point he has nothing left to do in the sport. He got as far as he could with his limited talent (1 big right hand) and has earned millions with it that others could only dream of (including the haters).

I'll miss the excitement he brought to the division, but I can't deny, his Parker loss made me say, please retire. He was horrendous in that. I bought into the hype that it was ring rust and he would be his same old self vs Zhang. It looked like he was pretending to be his old self and was still missing the magic he had earlier in his career.
          Very well said man.

          I agree with almost everything.

However I saw Wilder on a sharp decline after the 2nd beating by Tyson Fury. Then after the trilogy I was like, yeah his end is near.

Yet he kept fighting and it all got even worse with Malik Scott.

I don't want to see him fight again.

Yeah he can still beat C level fighters, in which I have no interest in watching at all honestly.

            But I get your point.

For me it's good bye as a fan.

It's just amazing how much he has achieved in this sport. Especially when you consider that he was a late bloomer who started fighting in his early 20s. I couldn't have been more proud of his success myself. As I wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

He will be missed! Boxing needed someone who could reenergize and reinvigorate the heavyweight division like he did with his amazing punching power. He made the heavyweight division both fun and exciting to watch again with his crowd pleasing style.

He shall always be remembered for that. In addition, he was both odd and unique. It didn't matter how many rounds he had lost or how hurt he was but yet he possessed that one special attribute that most heavyweights did not possess and that was that equalizer.

His power was so unpredictable that he could end a fight without prior warning or notice.

I hope so too. He'd only be putting himself in further danger

Don't think he can fight any good fighter at this point of his career. A decent fighter who can be hit easily (no guard) for his final fight would do. Someone like Joyce or Filip Hrgovic. Both do hit hard but can easily be hit. He can go out with a win and make good money since the Saudi's are paying everyone at this point.

C level fighters is the best for him but even then, I wouldn't care to watch
