Hrgy would have been better served to throw a few headbutts himself seeing as how the ref was letting Doobie away with it all night.
He trow more headbutts than power punches

Doobies new found confidence in his skills and face says that is true.

He's in danger of becoming the next Kownacki or Juggernaut with his face first defense and leading with his head.

At 26 and with 4 yrs of wars ahead he might be done at 30 if he doesn't add a few more wrinkles to his game.

You stop trolling man. Kabayel is N.4 by The Ring.
Kabayel has clearly shown he belongs top five or six. Clearly. I want to see who can next take down Makmudov the way Kabayel did.

Agreed. Kabayel is looking good, I’d love to see him fight DDD. I still am not hugely impressed by DDD. Frankly, Miller was not great when he was in his prime, I’m not sure he was ever a legit top 15 heavyweight; and when DDD fought him Miller was terribly overweight and unfit.

I was surprised and I guess impressed that DDD beat Hrgovic. I was impressed with Dubois managing to move just enough to absorb all those right hands from Hrgovic, and if Hrgovic gassed out because of the pressure and pace Dubois set, then that is impressive. Part of me wonders how hard Hrgovic trained, if he took this fight lightly, or if I am not giving Dubois credit where it is due.

Is DDD really top 5? I’d love to see him against Kabayel, Sanchez, Anderson etc. Dubois looks to have a very fast jab, but he seems to lack ring IQ. Maybe he will prove me wrong, but I still struggle to really rate him. Joyce beat him without really stepping out of second gear, and other than the shot that Dubois clipped Usyk’s groin guard with, he didn’t look very competitive in that fight.

My own opinion: I give DD a pass on the Joyce fight... Joyce's style s really tough for an inexperienced fighter to crack. Pressure fighters canbe murder for fighters that are still not set in their routine.

Daniel made a decision to approach the stiff Croat a certain way: He evidently decided to show Hrgovic that he could "take the piss" as the Brits say. When he was successful, he seemed to drop defensive considerations in favor of "It ain't broke, not gonna fix it." So he made the fight a battle of attrition.

I don't think he can fight this way perpetually. He showed people he had heart and hopefully moves on from this approach.

He beat Hrgovic for more reasons:
                1. He was highly motivated, one of the reason is that Hrgovic disrecpected him
                2. He gave all he has in this fight, I do not know can he do it again
                3. He destroyed Hrgovic face with more than 20 head to head clashes, and he trow few low blows as well. Check you tube video on this
                4. Hrgovic stated on press conference that he wanted to KO DDD in first round. That was wrong decission on this level, DDD is not De Mori
                5. Hrgovic had a cut on his eye 3 weeks before match with DDD, and DDD opened same cut easy
                6. Hrgovic left his Camp for few days and went from US to Croatia to see his new borm baby. That is not profesionalni from him. Usyk did not leave his Camp in same situation.
                7. He got some virus and he was on antibiotic for 5 days. He lost last 3 weeks of preperation due to cut on his eye and virus.
In my oppinion Hrgovic lost strenght do to his unprofesional behavier (leaving Camp and virus)

This is why I believe that DDD was lucky. If they make a rematch I wonder what could happen.

It is hard to gauge "luck." I know it seems like one fighter was at a disadvantage but, one would be suprised to see how most camps go... You make some great points though, that are worth considering.

Head butts are something a fighter has to adjust to. It is what happens when the weight of the head is forward... As far as some of the other things mentioned, this is why boxing was great when fighters fought regularly, or I should say, one of the advantages... These little problems in camp got averaged out. No fighter has a great camp for every fight, but when you are fighting enough times, it averages out more than when fighting sporadically.

They should fight cca 3 times per year. Every 3-4 month's. Not 3 times in 3 years

Now it's arguable that's the only truly entertaining fight he's ever been involved in where he's putting on the entertaining performance (Ruiz 1 but Ruiz was putting on the performance).

So I responded with the hypothetical to him expecting him to engage with it, not some random person not involved with the rest of the lil back and forth.

Normally people don't just grab a quote mid way through a back and forth, respond and than act like it isn't tantamount to joining a conversation midway through and randomly inserting your opinion.
Joshua has been in a ton of entertaining fights, The Whyte fight was good, Wlad was good, Ruiz was good (AJ performed very well and put Ruiz down before he got stunned) If you like seeing someone be aggressive rather than run - most of AJ's fights are good to watch. Who do you think is more entertaining in the HW division then?
