lol.. "if wilder just boxes him early"... ??? I got wilder beating Zhang with a KO, but he's not gonna box anyone. wilder is a wild fighter throwing wild punches... and it just so happens that Zhang is there to be hit. so wilder will beat Zhang but he's not gonna box anything with them wild punches.

Wilder was winning several of his fights on points at the time of stoppage. But that might have just a little something to do with dropping guys. I'll be curious to see if Wilder can still pull the trigger. I think it's likely to be a boring fight that comes to an abrupt end, one way or the other.

To me it looked like Wilder couldn't pull the trigger and that's a problem with delivering the power, not a lack of punching power.
If the squared circle is a truth machine, we shall discover the truth tomorrow.
Very much this. There is a difference between power and having the ability to land the power. Teddy Atlas likened it to ballistic missile. It's only as good as it's guidance system.

How many times have we seen destructive punchers suddenly "lose their power" against skilled boxers? The power doesn't go away, it's the ability to land it cleanly that's the issue

I'm not saying Wilder wins (but I won't be surprised if he does) but I think he will find landing his power easier against Zhang then he did against Parker.

If Wilder can move and avoid disaster for 6 or 7 rounds, i think he wins it. I hope Wilder has been working those chicken legs of his.

Even this slimmed-down Zhang (at 282!) isn't much of a mover, and certainly not the way Parker is.
The mountain don't move, Deontay. Hit the mountain.

I'd question whether Wilder even knows where the trigger is anymore let alone having the wherewithal to pull it.

His only real hope might be a fixed result and Zhang lies down for him so he can be fed to AJ as still the 'hardest hitting guy in the known universe.'

Surely Zhang wouldn't take cashout money to take a dive though. Think of the integrity of the sport...lol

could this be a miracle on wilder street?

after his last performance u would think not

would be a great win if wilder got it, just cant see it happening

i dont think the saudis are too into the psychactive stuff (off with the head) so he might have to wait till he gets home for all that

Everyone here keeps bringing up Zhang gas tank but he is 10lbs lighter than the Parker fight and Parker moves a lot and made Zhang work. Wilder won’t make zhang work like Parker did. I still say Zhang by ko especially with wilder talking retirement and how he has a better life outside of boxing like he said at the weigh in today. I understand wilder is always 1 punch away from winning but don’t think it will happen.

To keep with hypotheticals, Wilder Joshua would be bigger than Zhang Joshua, not saying that is the fight to happen, but Wilder will still be the bigger name.
