Catterall doesn't beat any of the elite, Josh Taylor 3/4 years ago with more head movement and angles also beats him handily. But a 3rd fight is a must and it needs to be next. Massive purses for both at say Edinburgh Castle, bring in neutral judges. If Catterall takes another fight before the Trilogy Taylor declines too much. If its next I think Taylor will take it. Catterall is a much better Boxer than Taylor or most of us thought with a very awkward style. The top of the Division is too strong for him though so make some paper with a Trilogy next.
You even watched again and still failed this badly? Damn. Maybe stop scoring fights. This is failure on a grand scale. This wasn't close to being a draw.

I remember a similar tihng happened with Pacquiao - he won a decision many thought he shouldn't have and then next fight when people thought he won - they made him lose that one on decision. Just so obviously done on purpose

Interesting too that Taylor landed 102 power punches to Catterall's 88. Taylor is hardly finished like some fools on this forum were claiming...
Taylor didn't come close to landing even half that number in power punches.

Never, ever take the punch stats. Always check it out yourself by going over the round. You'll be shocked at how bad those stats are.

"That’s a lesson. I will never, ever allow an American fighter to come here with this British [Boxing] Board [of Control] scoring the fight. Those scores were ridiculous."

is this some sort of senile joke?

i mean tartan twat taylor kept his titles, yes titles, when he got and undeserved GIFT in his home scotland in the first fight and then a great payday selling them to teo after that

Now this fight, the correct guy wins and Bob goes off on this rant, WOW is all i can say, insane stuff

not a peep from bob when the hilariously inept vegas judges are in full flow either, lol

boxing is just so tribal & always will be with its way of doing things

Bob Arum always picks and choses when he's outraged.

He had a meltdown for a fight that Taylor clearly lost. But doesn't say a word when it's his fighter getting a decison that most felt they lost.

Yeah - where was his outrage when Taylor got the gift over Caterall the first go around.

            Typical Arum.

I was there live last night, I thought the cards were fine to be honest

I had it 8-4, don't think 9-3 is a bad card. Catteral won clearly.

I was dumbfounded when Arum had a meltdown.

That's awesome - hope it was a good time.

Arum clearly had plans for Josh that were derailed Saturday. Maybe Taylor-Lopez II in the UK or something. Arum was big mad.

I didn’t mind which one of them won the fight, but have now watched it twice and I had Catterall winning by 4 last night and 5 on second viewing today. Even in Taylor’s better rounds Catterall was firing that ramrod jab into his face and controlling the distance. It was a very competitive fight but the right man was given a deserved clear decision. Bob Arum made a complete bellend of himself and after their last fight together controversy I’m pretty sure Josh Taylor wished he had shut his big mouth.

I thought the fight was hotly contested and crowd-pleasing. Even though, I thought the scorecards were a bit lopsided; However, I still believed that the right man won.

That 11th round sealed the deal for me when Catterall buckled Taylor to the ropes. Also, I must admit that I was highly entertained and amused by Bob Arum's post fight rant over the public address system. It was Comedy Gold!!
