For the TS to claim Baumgardner got off with no punishment and the positive swept under the rug is completely dishonest.

Baumgardner was temporarily suspended. She complied with the terms set forth, including multiple random drug tests, as well as Baumgardner’s own decision to submit a hair sample as part of an independent investigation. The provided sample was sufficient enough to test as far back as last June and produced a negative (clean) result.

Baumgardner was deemed by the WBC as “not guilty of intentional ingestion or consumption of a banned substance for performance enhancement purposes” following a lengthy investigation. Despite the determination, the WBC did not entirely allow the undisputed champion off the hook. Baumgardner was placed on a backdated one-year probation period which will end July 12, 2024. She will also have to continue to submit to Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) testing, at her own cost.

I do wonder why the TS chose her and was not honest about how her positive test was addressed?

bumgardner got caught with 2 anabolic steroids in her fanny & they just let he carry on as normal and just believed her when she said she had no idea how they got there, well, they all say they have no idea how they got there so why ban anyone in this case?

she still has all her titles and just carries on as normal, being caught with peds was just a minor inconvenience to her, surely that cant be right

vada go the the toilet with u to get your pee, they dont ask u to send the pee by post to them, its all wrong

The real answer to your question: New York and Nevada have the highest standards with it comes to their athletic commissions and combat sports. California not far behind NY and NV.

Everywhere else? The commissions barely exist. If you look around where lots of the most comical examples of cheating, you'll find they're usually outside of NY, NV, and CA.

Baumgardner failed her test in Michigan. She's from Michigan. So they just decided not to suspend her - nothing anyone else can do if the commission doesn't do anything.

Oscar Valdez failed his test in Arizona.

          Roy Jones failed in Indiana.

Emmanuel Stewart implied Chavez Jr had someone else pee for him in his fight against Andy Lee. That was in Texas.

Meanwhile for example, Joe Cusumano, a New Yorker, beat Kownacki in a massive upset. Hometown boy wins. But he failed his test, so the NY commission overturned the win the way they're supposed to.

NY, CA, and NV aren't perfect, as we saw with the Canelo bull****, but they more-or-less do what they're supposed to when guys test positive. Elsewhere? Good luck if they even TEST the samples they take.

Open your mind and try and comprehend what he is saying or are you listening to just reply. He merely said Canelo cheated and gave a valid comparison. I like Canelo but the fact remains he tested positive and protested his innocence like they all do. This topic was about baumgardner and how she got of free. Do you mean to say because you started the thread we can not refer to other cheats because it upsets you??

Asking that guy to comprehend something is a pointless task. He’s as brain dead as it comes and is as clueless on this topic as you could possibly get. Yet he always talks about it, very strange. Especially when his favourite fighter is a proven cheater yet defends his cheating at every turn but heavily criticises everyone else. Going as far as calling people who have never failed a drug test in 10 years of USADA testing “assuredly on PEDs” whilst laughably deeming Canelo, a proven cheat, “likely clean” for passing random tests for a vastly shorter time. I can’t say I’ve seen anything quite like it.

He then counters that with a bizarre random inclusion of Conor Benn. Why? I don’t know. Conor Benn is a cheater just as much as Canelo is.

Commission had no backbone. Once the WBC said they couldn't prove the PEDs were taken intentionally the commission said the same thing and swept it under the rug.
