How about Smokin' Bert Cooper vs Michael Moorer or Evander Holyfield? Shame for him he wasn't fighting in a different era.Leave a comment:

No. Fury can’t be an ATG because he’s only beaten 2 good fighters his entire career, and just lost to a middleweight (his own words). The Wilder trilogy might have been classic fights, but Wilder is a one-trick pony and was just dominated and lost every round to Parker. Fury ran from the Klitschko rematch twice, was caught cheating and AJ ironed him out instead.
He’s made a load of money but wasted too much of his career fighting nobodies and snorting coke. Fury ain’t coming back to avenge anything. That was the best possible version of him that turned up on Saturday and he still lost. If he takes the rematch he’ll lose again.
What makes him an ATG exactly?Leave a comment:

The Great Vitali vs Lummox Lewis only counts as one fight. The writer says three.Leave a comment:

If Zhang wastes Wilder, Fury's legacy will be heavily scrutinized. His best victory is against an old Vlad. Joshua's best win is also going life and death with old Vlad. I've always said this was a weak HW era, CW Usyk beats two overrated Brits and now he's in ATG HW contention lolLast edited by MrShakeAndBake; 05-21-2024, 02:58 PM.Leave a comment:

Cut Lewis resume in half? What Resume? Won 50% of his 2 fights vs Rahman, McCall, and Holyfield, the version of Tyson he beat is about as good as the version of Tyson Jake Paul is to face.
Good win over a pre prime, very green, Vitali, then ducked the rematch, and, apart from that... ? Living in fantasy land. Fury is the best ever, Usyk 2nd, prime Tyson 3rd, Rocky Balboa 4th, and Prime Wilder 5.
And for the record, I'm not saying Fury has the best resume, though, almost, that belongs to Rocky Balboa, but his many early losses count against him due to the sheer volume of them. Like Sugar Ray Robinson (late career) lost too many to be at the top. Nash out
The guy is the greatest fraud, I'll give you that. And soon Zhang is going to beat the **** out of Wilder, tarnishing his so-called greatest achievement of his career. Two wins over a guy whose most notable victory is 42 yr old Luis Ortiz.

I’m not predicting this. But it would not surprise me if Fury retires for good. He’s stated before that he doesn’t want to end up as a “drooler,” and after all the brain bashing he’s suffered from Wilder-1, Wilder-3. Ngannou, and now Usyk, you’ve got to wonder if he’s down for more of this. For a guy who reputedly moves around like Ali, he sure gets hit really hard really often.
Boxing is a brutal sport, and even a man who is six-foot-nine needs to recognize when enough is enough. A net worth of (depending on who you ask) $150-$200 million is probably enough to squeak by on.Leave a comment:

Don't compare him to Lewis. That's just dumb. You can cut in half Lewis' resume and it is stronger than Fury's.
You say he lost to an ATG but what notable name did he actually beat? Don't say Wilder who is awful. His best wins are literally a 39 yr old WK in an absolute stinker of a fight and Dillian Whyte.
He should have fought Ruiz, Zhang, Parker, Hrgovic, Sanchez etc etc instead of Chisora THREE TIMES or Schwarz, Pianata cherry pick fights.
AJ's resume is clearly, clearly much stronger now especially after the last three wins in a row. Even Parker has a comparable set of wins.

Yeah man you know, and actually Sanders had a legitimate knockdown over Vitali ruled out. Vitali was an exceptional fighter - for what its worth I think he would've wiped the floor with all of them, had Lewis hurt several times in their fight. Gave Lewis such a beating that he wanted no parts of a rematch. He was very different to his bro wladamir who was more safety first. Vitali was content to stand in the pocket and throw bombs using his sound boxing fundamentals. Anyone fortunate enough to hear the final bell would've almost certainly received one hell of a pasting (Shannon Briggs very nearly lost his life because of said pasting).Leave a comment:
