The rules are that as a circus goblin he has to wear his shorts up comically high and cop an absolute beating at some point in the fight while bouncing around like a wacky waving inflatable tube man to enhance the clown factor. Thankfully Fury followed both rules very well and looked his best in the 9th flopping around the entire ring like a real life cartoon character.

Yes and the worst part is his whole style relies on it, he has 3 layer body protection: the trunks, a big layer of fat and his arm. Then he relies on his bobbing and weaving along with parrying to avoid punches to the head. Unfair advantage but still almost ended in the hospital in R9.

I was commenting that at the start of the fight. The Usyk corner didn't complain about that and if they rematch they should bring that up. Lennox Lewis complained of a fight he was going to have that the opponent wore his trunks and protector too high and when the officials addressed it he winds up coming in with his trunks very high.
