Daniel Dubois body shot landed on Usyk.

This was a clean punch above the waist. A shame this was called a low blow. Usyk was VERY VERY hurt.

Usyk was also knocked down in the amateurs by Beterbiev with a body shot. Usyk is soft to the body imo.

Still low to me. Was an upward punch that landed on the protector. I’ve been hit there and 100% of the times it was a foul.

rules are very different in amateurs and boxing, but the low blow doesn’t change

To me it was legit: the shorts were covering the navel. Not that the navel defines the waste line but I am saying it for those who think it does. Nor was Usyk cable to stand if this was a 10 count because he was crawling and twitching. The fact he decided to show his body at the post-fight conference was actually a mistake because it proved it by showing his anatomy. But it is pointless to argue. What is enough is that: the opinions are solidly split; the fight also reminded plenty of dubious situations where Usyk complained of low blows; also reminded what a *hit (and most probably corrupt) referee Pabon is, referring to a similar situation in Joshua-Usyk II and him seeing Klitschko-Povetkin a clean fight - the man obviously loves Ukrainians.

I can say more being a long-term Kyokushin practitioner, I know what a hard and barehand (yes, hurts more than a gloved one) punch to the body and even the bladder is.

looks low to me on replay. Either way, whether or not he would have beaten the count, we'll never know. I think Usyk played it up a bit, low or not, the punch didn't hit a vital area. Dubois had been throwing shots right at the beltline most of the fight. Getting that call made the strike zone smaller going forward.

We have been over this and it is almost unanimously agreed that the shot was low, time to move on.

Oh wow so called hard-core boxing fans can't tell a low blow from a legit punch is sad.

That was a legit punch that could have given Usyk a KO loss if the ref wasnt an idiot and started a count.

              1. it was low
              2. even if it weren't low, there was no count so there's no way to know if Usyk could've gotten up. he picks up the ref's low call immediately and knows he has a minute to get up.
              3. DuBois got stopped by a jab later in the fight, he has no right to complain about anything

Bladder blow is a low blow in boxing though.

Funny how the shots that Ward landed on Kovalev were ruled legit, while the shot Dubois landed on Usyk was ruled low.

Reaching much? You must not be talking about the same Beterbiev whose 20 wins 20 KOs right? Someone else? A Beterbiev that isn't classified as one of the hardest punchers in the sport's history?
