Maybe his exit was not compleatly voluntary .................... ? the announcer on ESPN acted like it was the most offensive thing that could happen in life...........what a joke the over reaction to making a mistake in boxing not like he knocked the other fighter out to cover up his mistake....
Yeah its almost bullying TBH...Joe Tessitore wasnt it? Id like to troll that ****wit and see how he feels. Dan is a top guy and I can see how this would have rattled him. Anyone taking the piss out of him are just ****heads and I reckon if it was their kids or someone they cared about they would be jumping up and down...keyboard warriors
Geez...everybody with their "mental health" these days. Get deployed in Desert Storm, "Sir, Yes Sir!" Get trolled online where you can just not look at the comments, "I've got PTSD." Seriously, wtf?
Kids should be kept away from this stuff, too. Men who are his age should be mature enough to not care. Everybody is a critic. Not everybody is a Viking Warrior.
One thing I hate about boxing is having to reconcile being tertiarily associated with a bunch of bullying, self-entitled ****heads. Dude made a (arguably minor) mistake, owned up to it, and yet has literally become the target of thousands of people. Grow up.
It was a pretty big gaffe but not the first time I've seen it happen. No permanent or long term damage happened. Sure Hughes and Johnson went thru roller coasters of emotions but the correct result was ultimately applied. I've seen far worse instances of incompetence in boxing that have had serious consequences.
That being said, he was messing up reading of scorecards prior to that (confusingly reading the losing score first, then announcing a name, etc). He also seems to be taking the criticism a bit like an injured diva.
