Wow your so proud of Floyd fight against Juan Marquez. Ofcourse we still remember that Floyd fought a blown up and slower version Juan Marquez who fought floyd at WW. And ofcourse we didn't forget that your guy Floyd didn't reach the agreed weight at 14rlbs. Forcing them to change the contract all of a sudden.

But I do agree Floyd did show good skills on that fight. no doubt about it. But i still doubt that your guy floyd will fight top WW contender. Correct me if Im wrong because recently we heared it from Floyd that he won't be waiting for Cotto-Pacquiao winner or even Old Sugar Shane Mosley.

Ofcourse no one why this thread is purely one sided, well the one that open the thread is the number 1 fan of floyd no other than Mr. President.

If you don't enjoy the chess part of boxing your going to hate Floyd and most casual fans can't get into the chess matches. If I had a friend who wanted to watch some boxing a floyd fight is not the first fight I would show them.
I think that's a fair assumption because if Floyd wasnt exciting he wouldnt be the biggest cash cow in boxing right now. 1 million fans don't spend 60$ of their hard earned money in the middle of a recession to see a boring fighter fight.

Floyd has all the skills to beat the best WW fighters but wouldn't fight them. People hate him mainly for this reason.

Don't believe everything you hear. A fight with Pac is the biggest pay day out there for him right now and skill wise Team Mayweather knows that Manny "I have other people make my decisions for me" Pacquiao is nowhere near Floyd's level.

Expect Mosley to get taken out sometime in the next year as well. The WW takeover is just getting started.

For the most part, it obviously comes from jealousy and envy but i'm trying to find a specific reason why they exert so much energy hating on him because it's still a mystery to me.

I narrowed it down to the 4 most likely choices but if i forgot one then state what it is in this thread.
              U didnt add coz he's a coward.

He's faced 15 current/former world champions in his illustrious career. Get your facts straight before you try to spread your propaganda.

I noticed you left out Corrales (arguably his greatest win), De La Hoya (who said himself that he was at his best the night he fought Mayweather), Hatton (when he was still a force before Mayweather took his soul and left him a shade of his former self) and numerous other wins against top level competition.

I think the problem is, Floyd makes it look so easy that he gets no credit for his wins when he's fighting high caliber opponents. He's just THAT much better than the competition.

Completely different scenarios. Mayweather was a super featherweight to start his career, not a featherweight, and has been at welterweight for 4 years. He has the speed and natural athletic talent to fight top welterweights and succeed. Same reason Pacquiao has been able to move up so successfully.

Marquez has never had those types of athletic advantages, he has always relied on technical ability. As he moves up in weight, he gets slower and his reflexes get much worse. You could see it in his two fights at lightweight. Can you tell me in what way Mayweather-Marquez was a fair fight?

And again, who has Mayweather fought at 140 or 147 that can compare to Mosley, Cotto, or Pacquiao, and that convinces you he would easily beat them?
