Is Terence Crawford a casual? How about Andre Berto? They both thought that Canelo carried the kid. I happen to agree. He let off the gas more than a few times. Was it the fear of getting countered? Seems like he could have stopped Mungia late. Either way, the win was not a surprise.

I saw him back off the gas several times. Definitely had some moments like Loma letting off the gas vs Commey and Haney. Good thing he's Mr A-side and the judges aren't the fans, or he might have lost a decision despite dropping and dominating his guy.

Munguía is certainly tough though. He took Canelo's power well.

Id agree with you if Canelo was younger. He had a very young strong, in his prime fighter in front of him. The ONLY chance Munguia had in this fight was if Canelo got ******. Why give him that chance?
I’ve seen Crawford be extremely careful as well when he had fighters hurt. He’s old now so let’s see him get in there with REAL threats. Notice how he’s avoiding young in their prime fighters like Boots?
Tell OLD MAN Crawford to take SAME risk as Canelo and fight a young kid in his prime who’s undefeated. Let’s start with boots.

Yup, it’s easy to criticize especially when most in here have never been in the ring with a guy who knows what he’s doing.

Cong**** to Canelo. He did a fine job. He was in damn good shape. That all said, I saw him get hurt and hit by a guy who wasn’t all that experienced AND who had a lot of bad habits. Time to retire.

When Munguia throws one after the other his balance is completely gone, Canelo could have made better use of it but I do think he chose not to.

Canelo has been fighting this way for awhile. Can't blame him. Win the fight without getting hit much. As far as Boots? Are you really comparing Mungia to him. Undefeated records are overrated. Ennis is a mega talent. Mungia is not. This was actually a cherry pick. Mungia's only chance was a lucky haymaker. Too slow and little defense is a bad recipe against Canelo.

Canelo still has Erislandy Lara problems to deal with.
