Roach Worried About Miguel Cotto's "Dirty Tactics"

What the hell is everybody getting on Roach's case for about this statement? It's totally true. I've never seen Cotto low blow an opponent he had total control over. He did it to Corley, Torres, Judah, and that dirty **** he pulled with Clottey. What did all those guys have in common? They were all whipping Cotto's ass at some point in the fight. And that time that Cotto hit Clottey in the back of the head in the last round was awfully shady. The only fight that Cotto fought clean in was against Margarito, because Margarito let Cotto know he meant business by low blowing him several times and of course who can forget about Margarito hitting Cotto while he was down on one knee? Karma is a *****. In the Mosley fight I think Evangelista dumped some water in the corner to buy Cotto some time, and Benji Estevez sure gave it to him.

I was at that Clottey fight and when Cotto was in trouble, he went low and threw Clottey to the ground. That's just how he gets when he is in trouble. It's dirty, but it's smart. With that being said, he is STILL going to knock Manny out.

I can see Roach's concern, but you cannot change the rules just to suit him. Cotto himself has been the victim of guys coming in with their heads and slicing him up. I mean if Roach gets away with this request, Cotto could also put one in saying if Manny darts in throwing the left hand recklessly and headbutts him causing a cut, should Manny be disqualified? The whole idea is preposterous. Boxing is a brutal sport. Everyone involved knows the risks. The referee determines then what action to take from their existing playbook. The same rules apply to Manny and Cotto. You cannot have tailored rules or conditions for a particular fighter. Once the bell rings, everything is to be considered equal. Manny is awesome, but Roach is really starting to annoy me. Cotto is already facing a handicap with the weight. Just let the guys fight.

Our problem is Freddy Roach needs to shut the **** up, and let the refs do their job and he does his own job. He shouldn't have to worry about accidental or purpose low-blows if he believes his fighter can honestly win. No one tells Roach how to do his job, why should he bother the refs about it? Cottos a body puncher, low-blows happen.

So he thinks that Cotto or Manny deserved to be dq'd if either one lands one accidental lowblow? Is roach on drugs?

We don't know if they were or not, were not Cotto. Besides Zab responded with some hard low-blows of himself don't know if they were on purpose or if he was going for bodyshots himself.

I did say probably, not definitely, of course nobody knows for sure. Roach is making a big deal out of nothing, maybe he's really nervous or his condition is worsening.

Cotto was more hurt against Torres, he didn't use low blows then.

Im starting to hate on Roach & his Drama Queen excuses. He knows Manny is in deep water with Cotto ans is already making many excuses, just in case he loses. What a *****.
