There is very little footage of Conn, but plenty of newspaper accounts from his day. The guy was simply a great fighter who beat a **** load of other great fighters. This is no slight on Roy, who I've always loved watching, but more of a test to see who actually knows what they're talking about.

probably because like me they have no idea how good/great Billy Conn really was. I didnt vote btw.

Care to give me a history lesson? tell me a bit about him. Who would u vote for?

In order to be Ranked All time one must at least achieve something great (Win a world title) Or beat someone ranked All Time when they are anything like Prime.

Conn did neither, RJJ did both.

Conn's best win was over a Young Corbert at the very end of his career.

I would vote Conn. He has better wins at middleweight over all with Zivic, Risko, Dundee, Yarosz, Corbett III and Apostoli. Apostoli was said to have been one of the best p4p fighters at the time and Corbett III is a forgotten all time great who fought and beat most of the top fighters of his era.

At 175 I believe the comp between Roy and Billy is much closer and arguable for either man.

At heavyweight it isn't even close. Conn's loss to Joe Louis was more impressive than Roys win over John Ruiz and he actually beat top heavyweight before fighting Louis.

As if this isn't enough to lean in favor of Conn, lets not forget he had no amateur back ground where as Roy had an Olympic pedigree.

None of this is meant to put down Roy, its just meant to show that there are fools on here that will vote without having any idea what they're talking about.

But even the guys that do know what they're talking about and disagree with me would pay homage to Conn as a great fighter. I would bet on it.
